Whereas if you keep your experience limited to parties, then even if you do recognise something from another dancefloor, it'll take you to back to another surreal place and time.
does it happen to you?

Thats why i've been keeping off parties myself .. too much of anything makes jack a dull boy .. I find myself having a much better time if I attend a party like after a month or two.. and it doesnt matter whether the dj is playing familiar stuff or not .. im flying irrespective

I can see what is meant by having that special moment on the dancefloor with that track that moves you in just the right way. And I can see how familiarity can break you out of the trance.

But shouldnt the trance be more than just the music? Shouldnt it be in your mind, too?

Personally I can hear a song a million times, then hear it at a party and hear aspects of it I never heard before. And I can enjoy even the cheesiest songs, if Im dancing!           .

i listen to psy like crazzy tiil i get bored of it and till tha point wen enough is enough and i feel like switching genere but wen it comes to goa trance ,proggy or may be some good morning stuff ,, i can go onn for hours without getting bored but dark psy or night psy watteva u wanna call it has it limits unless its at a party ...
usually dont listen to a album for more than a week from tha time i get it .. listen to tha album till i am totally bored of it or may be till i understand every beat and tune of it and find tha crazziest tunes on it may be to listen after may be two months or so wen der is nothing els to listen than that album ..
I dont party much , only party when i know dat der's some one really cool playing and if its a big party and with nice vibes ,,so i usually listenin to my music that i play home on my comp 5.1 surround .. ,, select a nice couple of albums and play tha same .. and dance like crazzy till all tha energy is drained outta my body .. it feels really nice you can literally dance like no ones watching ..

peace....

Respect!

It's time to move on to the next step in the psychedelic revolution. We've reached a certain point, but we're not moving any more.

hehe, i listen to dark/forest/prog psy 24/7. When I hear tracks at a party that I know I still enjoy it just as much. It makes you understand the tracks better by listening to them in the enviornment they were built for.

For me it´s like 70% psychedelic and the rest psychedelic dub/ ambient/ chill/ breakz.
...But 24/7 psy does well for me, too

I'm being a bit romantic, but it does work with me to a good extent. And going back to think about it, the reason I started listening to psytrance outside that first party, was to relive that experience over again.

It just comes down to how patient you are & how much you want psy to be part of your daily life.

Respect to v.v2 for being the way he/she is. Keeping the experience fantastic and associating it with another world.... lets see how long you can last though

i just listen to tons and tons of music ut yea i got it too: when i recognise tracks from other parties/special event at home or just a drive to a party, then it adds that little "extra"

it's even that strong that i rather will remember when i heard that track than from what artist it is or what trackname it is...

strange but true i tend to remember more in moments then in names or styles           no situation is stronger then a heart that dares to love
so may the force of life light and love be with you

from a very dancers perspective - yea, if u know the track it surely helps to control ur dancing rhythm, just like in a club when u can shout out the song when a famous britney spears is playing..., but i thought trance was different, where the connection between body and beat produced something special, unique, unexpected.

Most people i see follow a beat, a style of dancing which they would persevere with no matter what who or which fish is swimming, but there are others, who consider an artist's work as puppetry...each string/beat/bpm change makes u do something else...ofcourse, there is a standard movement we all fall back to, but when the sound takes us, heheh...special !

what i am angling at it is since we all agree, more or less, that this is dance music, why not have a section for dancers...

i assure u, even though unaccounted, we are a breed by ourselves

Everyone here seems to think that only people who make good music have a right to say something, but what about people who dance ...aren't we a symbiosis? Why should i know technicalities, it makes me dance, well, thats as good as it gets, and i am not a stoopid customer lol

we are a breed of our own.... whoever thinks that only producers or djs are the only one's that can "say something" regarding trance music is either dillusional or an elitist....

say what you want, do what you want and just dance your ass off.... Afterall, it's the people who dance who bring the energy...            "On the path of spirituality, one ventures to vanquish one’s own faults rather than to judge others"
