hi every 1 moonsun records is anew label with lots of progress but since teh last 8 months which it running, has been run only from me with no help at all. this is not the problem iv done anice job keeping it and my artists and dj since though,at teh moment
sales are crap and even the best cds sell
less than 400-500 cds ,and distribution colect that for there income ,and mp3 is now the biggest sale in the world ,moonsun records will be open for 5 months more to pay some deats to its artists to get some cds and sales back and after when all is payed off and there is no deats to now 1, the label will close ,now if any 1 is intrested mabe to buy the name and its history ,plus site and still have the artists as it is, plus its support and forums for very good price .email me at nickg262000@yahoo.gr u will pay only for what we have realy ,the name and label wil be givven so it can continue else were...thx
im sorry but today trance is going to hell with the aditude of money, a label cant even support there artists ,not only they cant make ,they pay from there pockets to support
all dj and artists same time ,and then they cant pamke nothing back, not even orinting expences,its ajoke ,and the return from distribution is they tell u big labels sell 600 cds world wide,come on there 100.000 only in japan that listen to trance i think u can sell 600 only there.so who is fouling who..any way good luck to all labels...plus i know 20 labels are clsoing soon ,so watch out ul here soon..thx

But is true ! Music are going in a crises and something have to be made to this don't go really bad in Music.
New inspiration is need in Music Industry.
You are right Nick.. whats the point to make soo much, to reach the end with money to pay off without get to see any money coming in.
Its record label will be substitute by Digital shops ?
I think music is having a turn around at the moment.
I fell sad to know , its not in a good way !

that sucks but in all honesty i think alot of labels need to close shop.
if you look at saikosounds new arrivals there has been 30 albums released in the last week and a half. Thats just an absurd amount of music being released for the number of people who listen to psytrance.
Its almost impossible to even preview half of what comes out right now, let alone decide what to buy. |

So soorry to hear of this. Was just wondering who your distributors are??
Its truly sad, as usual the internet, while glorious and convenient is also a breeding ground of much corruption. The people who download and do the mp3 story are the worst scum, they do not respect the music at all and its extremely immature. All these kids who post about how they have tracks before a cd is released....immature and while they think it looks cool, honestly IT DOESN'T.....they are killing the scene. As for the distributors...thats a whole different kind of evil. Labels don't have much choice among the distributor leeches. If i were you Mr. Moonsun, when you do decide to shut down your label (and i hope it doesn't come to that) i would ask the distributors to send back all the cds..that way you can count and double check if they did in fact only sell 500 cds.....also ask for original invoices from the printing company..so you can check if the distributors actually charged you for the number they say they printed.I have a feeling they say for example 1000 euro for 1000 cds but actually print 1500 to 2000. Anyways all the best. |

bro they send invioses each month ,if the ysend the rest ,they can print another 2000 for them..its easy u cant find solution with them.....

after big though and because thi slabel is my life the label willl run on sites and promtion but will not make cds for some time ,till a solution is found
to see how it can be run ..the name will remain to me ,so tim ewill show ,i hope some distribution pops up
with sales lol...so mabe we can see a light in our way
...site will remain open and forum .......thx for at least 1 year until we see ,mabe some people would lik eto help run the label in other counttries as well
as sub label s and some ideas to suport it,,,any help is welcome and ideas....

Sad to hear that mate..
However there's gotta be a reason why people are downloading instead of buying cd's..In todays digital age there should be other easier options, maybe some people cannot afford to keep up & buy all the latest releases (especially if they're not Dj's and listen to the music at home only)
Add to it the fact that normally there are only 2-3 good tracks on a cd which might deter people from buying the whole cd..
We should be able to download wav files for $1 or less..I for one would happily pay this much for tracks..I know sites such as beatport & cytopia are doing this but there should be more choice available..
