Nextarios. I bouht the z-dsp and sold it within days, did not like it one bit, slower than a week in jail, lot of money for something with flaws you have to accept, junk will probably disagree, but I just did not bond with it .

check on thomann doepfer ahve one case a bit smaller than this (6u) at 300 euros if i remember with psu and everyhting , but the the loads of cables can make it a pain for using the low part , as it s angled.. might depend preference and module you put there
or for around 200/250 you can make a case into a rack if you wanna move it to play live , buying dopefler diy kit |

I love the ZDSP but I would hold off on putting it into a case earlier on. Without additional modulation sources it's nothing more than an effects processor in an expensive rack. To really get the most out of it requires extra algorithm cards or Numberz for programming the cards which will jump the price up a bit. Sure you could use the computer to modulate it but you would only really be complicating a process that a computer could do in the box.

Probably his longest serving filter apart from the doepfer sem
(Which are fucking beautiful),,,
Its a nice filter and worthy of their price
Plus the crossfader can give some nice effects for additive synthesis, high pass on thr positive wave and low on the negative part, and so on

yeah do you still enjoy the rubicon? personally would getting rubicon/dixie/shapeshifter in the end would be great but so much cash, can t justify it for my needs right now..will see how work is going.. if i jump in or not.. |

Jump mate dont think, pick your least favourite piece of gear and sell it, no going back
Rubicon does everything the dpo doesnt,
Loveit to bits,rich sound and very versatile,
from psy, to supersaw, virus , nord and does fm like a modern buchla, very sweet and delicate to fatter than oprah
And nice signal no matter what filter you squeeze it through
Best osc for the money
Solid tracking
Might sugest a sto by make noise insted of a dixie,
Shitty tracking but you g2t the best of a dpo with what im sure is a proper sh101 sub
And its sweet as fuck functions, sub has a gat3 so you can come up with some wacky stuff when you fm it
Defo get the rubicon if you want to trance out, plus a mixer if you want that 3 osc fastness , sub , main ., pitched 1 oct up thingy
Syncs like fuck as well, both hard and soft
Yep would be my first port of call,
Tbh atlantis is a must , just for starters and sell it once you get to know yerself modularwise
