						soo, what's the problem here?
i just read the mauxlog (not fb) and there's nothing offensive at all. i think he's explaining rather well why he isn't participating this year and why he's disappointed with the people behind freqs of nature.
doesn't he (or anybody else in this "scene") have the right for constructive criticism?

yidam, there are a couple of internationally known veteran producers on this forum who have declared that they've been ignored intentionally by festival organisators for many years. isn't that basically a ban?

The blog about Ozora he wrote is full of negative personal insults, fair enough English is probably not his first language but still, no need to make yourself sound like a ass when trying to make a point.

I never heard of Mauxuam, but he has 54 Facebook likes, that`s not a whole lot...given that level of popularity I think 1000 Euros plus travel expenses is a pretty good deal. Heres why:

Lets start with his Shpongle Analogy. Shpongle has 280.000 Facebook fans. Using Facebook as a proxy for popularity, i.e. ability to pull in people to a festival, the following equation results:

 54/280.000: 0,00019

That means Mauxuam has 0,00019 times the marketing value of Shpongle. Which seems like a fair assumption, given that as a 15 year veteran of this scene I have never heard of him and Shpongle is probably as big as it gets. Multiplying that number by Shpongles 25.000 €, Mauxuams true market value should be

 € 25.000 * 0,00019 = €4,82

So, Mauxuam should have been satisfied by being served two free beers (at the cost of which they are being sold at Ozora) while playing his set. Because that is his true market worth.

As a business consultant, I am appaled at his gross overpayment. The owner of Ozora should investigate if Josko, who is his friend, might be guilty of nepotism and should be relieved of his duties. At least thats what any rational business would do

International known veteran producers dont waste their time with foruns...

who ever cames to a forum moaning that a promoter doesnt deliver the proper atention to them is a moron...

if they are veterans, then i assume they would be experient, and if they had real experience, they would known that a real artist shouldnt claim or request atention from promoters...

thats exacly why they are ignored, because most promoters what to hire who ever they want, for whatever reason, if they are interested in someone, they contact them

thats why, there are artists who request 25000 euros to perform or more... because they can, they are contacted and then they can request whatever fee they want

wich is completly diferent, from the situation where you contact a promoter moaning for gigs or when you have a gig based on friendship like the case related in this topic...

Some are artists and get paid as artists, others have lucky to get paid for something that they only pretend to be...
