Atropa rock, cant wait till the guy will start release his stuff. I know his stuff is great but kinda a suprise to see his track on the second step  keep it up man!
Im suprised to see Domestic on the tops, but ppl gave their voices.
Personally i think Perfects stranger album should have been in the top 3 instead of Domestic. But thats my taste.
Too bad its gone into too commercial promotional thread. Filthy politics are bad, hope someone else will take it next year instead of Detox.

Well.. I voted last year, for the fun of it.. But didn't this time. Why ? One of the reason is mentionned by Detox, some people here take it WAY too seriously.. And then because in the end it means absolutely nothing.. The results are totally weird and don't reflect the essence of the past year.. There should be first of all some nominated artists/albums/covers.. Because it is impossible for any of the users here to know about all what happened during 2006..
And so in the end yes.. 170 out of 5000 users.. I wish Domestic won't feel himself not gushing out anymore too much..

Nominated by whom? It was totally democratic and if somebody didn't exercise their right to vote they shouldn't blame artists and their friends. This whole scene is artists, dj's, promoters and their friends. I know cause i voted mostly for my friends Everyone in the world is doing something without me |

My friend ATROPA i dont know if you are that good or not (havent heard any of your latest tunes) but what i know (and i guess you also know) is that except Pavel who voted you as the best new producer of the year (who already admitted that he voted mostly his friends) noone else around the world voted for your music and project except your friends mostly from Thesaloniki and some from Athens ofcourse who by the way voted almost all of them (and they were many something like 20 people) the same best new producer,the same best new label,the same best track and the same best dj,i am preety sure that if you had released an album they would also vote for it and you would win the best album category by far.I thought of doing something about it since also some people were posting from the same computer (like it happened last year with another group that got banned from all categories) but i decided to call it a day and leave things as they are,this is a poll used mostly for fun purposes (with the good sense of the word fun) and i didnt want to spend more time and efforts arguing with your fan club,too bad some people including your friends see this as a promotion poll and too bad that also many other people including labels and artists and dj's from around the globe think of this poll as a way to promote their work.You see for some people music is fun and entertainment and for some others its just promotion and business and thats why i am seriously thinking to drop the idea of this poll simply because i dont want to help expanding the promotion and business ideas over this scene more than they should exist in psychedelic trance.Everything has its limits and why its ok the way i see things to drop by in any post and wish good luck and drop couple of good lines in a release or a party made by some of your friends i find it really distrurbing to understand a poll like this one as a good way to promote whatever.Anyway enough said,all i can say is that every year this poll is loosing its true essence,last year it was a specific group that tryed to destroy this poll,this year a group of people that wanted to promote their friends and next year something else will happen i guess.I just feel sad the way this small scene has evolved in almost every area.By the way nothing personal against you mate,i just state the facts here and you know i have no reason to blame you for anything.
Dear TRICK and RAJATRAO the people had also voted for Tantrumm but when i browsed psyshop and discogs i couldnt find any results concerning this label,when i searched for trantrumm though i found the result that is posted now in the poll.Please can someone contact me in private and give me a link to their site or something so i can fix that?Thanks in advance.
LIGALIZE the project of Even 11 is indeed a new project but it is consisted of Jaia and Silicon Sound with some tracks already out and with Oblivion being a major morning hit all around the world festivals,if you dont know this tune and you like morning psychedelic music i suggest you find it somehow.
CACOFONIX yes trance has evolved into many styles but if we have a poll for every style then this means we will have thousands of votes and a lot of people and days will be needed to count everything.Not to mention other people that will pop up saying 'X album is not progressive but psychedelic' and 'Y album is not dark trance its goa' and stuff like that.The way the poll takes place seems fine to me based on the fact that the fourth best album this year was Entheogenic new album and other albums from the so called 'dark trance' followed in the next places.Same with best compilations were Fahrenheit Project 6 finished fourth if i remember correctly and many other categories.
RAVEME good point mate,just 170 votes this year and Pavel brought in a good idea of a massive PM for next year if this poll is going to take place at least from my side.Noted already.
KAKOO nominations is a good idea but like some other users asked who is going to nominate and what is going to nominate and based on which criteria?Hell will break loose if something like that happens in this forum as you can easily understand from people,labels and artists who will feel that they deserved to be nominated.Since this is a good idea though i will try to work out something and see if this can be implemented somehow,maybe something based on the reviews of this and other websites on certain releases and the feedback labels and artists get from time to time,will check it out i dont know.

i saw people that win or enter the top3 using this as promotion before, ofcourse they should. it is a kind of promotion in itself to win some votes here, imo.
Mass PM's and Nominated Albums and Compilations should be a good idea in some kind of way i think 
nice votes and congrats to the "winners"

Detox, I don't really care whatever friends voted for Atropa. Yes, this year i voted mainly for my friends cause honestly they are the only reason i bother to listen to Psy Trance these days. If i got any fresh music this year it was from them. I think that if you'll check Atropa's music you'll agree with me and see it's not X-Noise part2. Another thing you mentioned was "highly respectable and accomplished artists,dj's and labels of this small scene". I think i know what artists you are referring to man and i think that here in Isratrance most of them lost a lot of popularity in the last few years. The recent rise of the Dark Psy and the Progressive trance definitely bitten the Full-On part of the cake. You can continue whining about it (you hate the Dark Psy no more than i do), you can get with the program and release Dark Psy (or Progressive, more likely) or quit and listen to other stuff.

Come on guys why you don't look little deeper.
It's true that ppl vote the ones they know and their friends and i find it very sensible.
But when you have only 170 votes in 5284 active users from 67 countries i think the problem isn't me or Atropa or the ppl that like Domestic's album.
The matter that 20 ppl from one country can judge the result of the bigest forum in the world...yes this is a problem.
I'm not the best dj, maybe i'm not a dj at all but i'm happy because i get some votes from ppl that i didn't expect.
I big thanks to all of you.
So maybe Pavel has right a pm to all the members possibly move the interest and the star for the super star artists shine again
