From what I know, Bigwigs are no more... Unfortunately their innovative music didn't stand a chance against tons of fluoro-rave from the likes of TIP World and most israeli artists...           www.ektoplazm.com/2011/panta-deus - download for free Psytrance.pl's 10th anniversary compilation featuring 100% Polish psy-music (goa, prog, dark, full-on, chillout): Artha, Sundial Aeon and many more

i can only say that im not init for the money but deffinetely for the music and creation. The things that pushes me is to get some more gigs, but not the money..

i havent made any big money yet and i probably wont but i'd really like gigs cause it gives inspiration and joy to make more grooves.           For the TT beliver: www.techtrance.2tunes.com

I was thinking about something the other day: most of full-on's success may have been caused because the others styles started to become more grumpy, in a sense.

Either too housy, or simple and dry.

Once upon a time one could stand a change against full-on, when playing in a more popular party, using some uplifting psy-prog.

The e-flippers, in general, wouldn't even notice the difference. and the vibe was much better for those that cared too.

It's very hard nowadays, for me at least, to find good uplifting psychedelia to feed my case periodically.

i think is too strong sentence, people like us my hating friend. we have old and experienced audience which is incessantly
searching for something new paralelly beeing boried with main stream. we didnt receive any disrespect with strong argumentation. usually it was stupid talks about mastering. there is something more you should know about. we dont want to stop doing our experiment on trance scene, our next productions will be even more strange and wacky then it was on "fraktalik". so, if you see our cd in shop dont even touch it, it will kill you. you probably dont know how easy is to be on the scene... is so easy my hating friend. its easy because 90% of scene are people which are constructing their music and this music is really easy to construct. beleive me. 90% of music has no second bottom, its simply as musician which constructed it. we are not worrying aobut our future because there is no money involved. we are doing our job with pleasure all the time independ of how small or big money we receive.

hate is great!

Wise words!

Couldn't agree more with your opinion in several aspects!

A big part of trance movement as become dull.Everything sounds the same and most part of the people like it that way. It's kind like a mainstream movement inside a movement that's still a bit underground.Pity that inovation is no longer loved and "constant recycling" seems to be praised.

Read a couple of months ago an interview of Shahar from Depths Of Despair and there's two excerts of it that I couldn't agree more on what he said:

"It's quite unusual for young artists who like trance to go and produce their first album as a chill out one. Especially since economically speaking, it's less effective. What made you choose this path?

The economic aspect is something I couldn't care less about when making the album. I made music I liked and that was meaningful to me, and I didn't really care if it would top the charts or not. I like trance, and a lot of people have said the album has a trancey vibe running through it, but I think there's a lot more to it than just that."

- - - - - - - - -

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but in trance you've got a feeling that most music sounds the same, repetitive. In the psychedelic chill out section however it is different. How can you explain this?

I think that's because trance is a pretty limited genre to begin with. It communicates with the feet and the body, but not always the mind. I never saw the point of releasing something that sounds exactly like something else on the market. I think that when making music the last thing you should do is limit yourself or fit into that cozy genre. I tried to break every boundary I could think of with this album."

Shame more people don't think this way,but glad to see that there's still people like Shahar and Koki that stick to their ideals and concepts of good music.

Cheers to that!           En Sof Future Events:

but lusty_freak,
trance can be for the mind, and should. (and WAS!)
mind moves the body, not the other way around.

I don't understand what you argue here about...

the only riddle enigma for me is this:

psyk: what you explain makes no sense to me, since openminded ppl (as I like to call our scene) are usually not fond of closed minded music.
and that's the big riddle.

We all have to understand, that it doesn't matter if it's full on or any other style - it's not about full on psyk, it's about recycled, drilled far enough, nonoriginal, not daring at all and 'small box' music.

And this means, that good full on can exist, such as good music allways can.          Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...
