nice topic. but no point to discuss
fullon is oriented for teenagers and extasy users. people on cheap drugz need fast music, cheaper is the drug - faster music must be.
thats why russia is parasense-kindzadza country, europe is more proggy .. etc etc etc...

Way to simplified and wrong re:spawn. Denmark is one of the richest countries in the world, and we have loads of full on parties.           "Love is a way of life"

In my experience, money is what runs this whole thing. Why is it so hard to find good artists into the free ideology, who just want to have their music heard by an audience? Everyone wants that lucrative record contract for big bucks. What saddens me are the talented artists creating non-standard stuff who will never get signed anywhere due to the homogenization of styles in the current psytrance industry... and these guys, they never seem to give up on the idea that the goal is to get signed, to win the label's praise, to change their unique sound into something tired and overdone simply because that's whats popular and not necessarily good. I hate to witness it going on... to hear from artist friends the exact same response any time they send a demo: please make it sound more like GMS. It is positively infuriating - the state of things...

basilisk, i must agree with you, i feel the same.
probably i'm the one of that dudes that you talked about, but i will not change my style (i even don't know what is my style, and i don't care, for me it's electronic music at global and psychedelic trance then).
some labels say it's too melodic, some say it's too progressive, some it's too housy, some say make me 150 bpm fullon killer stomper...

you will not get me i make what i feel to make, if i'll make something that i don't feel it's me, so what's my point will be then, to be another clone...?

peace.

That is pretty sad. As I found your more experimental psy... Great.

It's funny how this genre doesn't like fresh air. Branch out, and explore... There is a whole nother realm of sound, that is quite frankly, more psychedelic than the over played, cloned full on sound.

Unfortunately it's the way it goes man
Although we got a lot of great comments from really a wide variety of known artists (which makes me personally feel great) but it still doesn't replace the pleaseure of getting to play live at a party which is what we lived for.

hmm u do actually have a point there...i find that people here in SA LOVE fullon, as its fast, easy to dance to, well similar to all the bad club vibes that go on here... yes im not the biggest fan of fullon, it definately has its place at a party, but the more clubbier party people only appreciate what they find similar, and not the more, intelligent proggy music..thats why its more popular...           ****andmysoulsbeenpsychedelicized****

ha! as i understand you hate all of us!
i think is too strong sentence, people like us my hating friend. we have old and experienced audience which is incessantly
searching for something new paralelly beeing boried with main stream. we didnt receive any disrespect with strong argumentation. usually it was stupid talks about mastering. there is something more you should know about. we dont want to stop doing our experiment on trance scene, our next productions will be even more strange and wacky then it was on "fraktalik". so, if you see our cd in shop dont even touch it, it will kill you. you probably dont know how easy is to be on the scene... is so easy my hating friend. its easy because 90% of scene are people which are constructing their music and this music is really easy to construct. beleive me. 90% of music has no second bottom, its simply as musician which constructed it. we are not worrying aobut our future because there is no money involved. we are doing our job with pleasure all the time independ of how small or big money we receive.

hate is great!

Kino - me personally agree about scene lameness or what you call in "easy" construction of this music.
every one even the ones who dont have a minimal music education can do it -agree on that.
but....

but i think you got fung very wrong - what he said - he said based on your sentence - and me too.
kinda you wrote that because you wanna get booked and get play live you must produce full on or smt close to fullon - so from here i derive that u make music for a fucking money - dont get me wrong man i understand your point.
if you do you music do music - why u need to make main stream shit - only to get booked or smt.

i think smt wrong here - just explain what u meant when u said that u will make full on coz its sounded like you in main stream with the shit full on.

old bigwigs doesnt exist. there are only one bigwigs and one idea. we dont care if our music is not connected with trance. im sory but trance is only a little part of our music.
and one question: why we should have another project? is it not still the same people involved in bigwigs? is something changing? no! you expect from us to be constant and keep some way.
my advice: find another band
