NOTICE: I do not suppose to offend anybody here
so what attractive things do you found in their music?
By my opinion the only 2 things they do good is sound quality and weird sound effects.
Their rythmes are tight, but messed, unstable and sometimes arent "complete", their synth lines are poor, weird and i hardly found any melody in.. maybe few tracks. Besides all, most of the tracks are repetitive (again, only my opinion)
I do like few of their tracks, but how its possible to have the band as a favourite if
there're like 1-2 great tracks out of ~10 on each of their cds ?
I do not do heavy drugs, maybe thats why i
dont understand their music

drugs are not the issue here. personal taste is. if you don't like them, fine. i know i won't try to convince you otherwise. i like Infected's Music, at least the last 2 albums. i found the first to be depressively disorganized and a shamble, both music wise and production wise, spare a few pieces.
Infected's not your everyday trance music. there are many who like them, and many who don't. each has his own reasons. as mentioned above, it's a matter of personl taste.

theur professonalism make thir music less psychedlic more openminded and too much overloaded with effects.. it s like very good holywood film.. i prefer european concept cinema.. less profisionalism - more ideas

Can't find melodies?
Well if you'd say something like this about other 990,999 psy trance acts nowadays i'd tend to agree.
Man, they spent most of their childhood perfecting piano playing, you know with recitals and shit.
Poor synth lines? I hope you are not talkin about the old Shidapu impulse tracks.
Check out their "poor" synth lines in "Symphonatic" and "Bust a Move".
Those are modern classics.
And BTW, most of their melodies (as most of the psy trance nowadays) are subtle, which usually means that:
A. You gotta listen to the track good dozen times before you truely "Dig" it.
B. You gotta pay attention not only to the main melody but also what lead to it and how the rhythm accompanies it.
If Infected music doesn't do you anything maybe you are in the wrong business.
Don't take personally anything i written, all in good spirit.
O and BTW, pull the banana off your ears, it might help!

I don't know about sleepy russian movies. i enjoyed Prisoner of the Caucasus (Kavkazskij plennik). as for Infected, this is not intopic people. im sure russian trance and Cinematography has their place, but not in this disscussion

The thing about Infected is that their music is unique. It is different then almost anyone else making Trance today.
When an Infected track comes on at a party, even if you have never heard it in your life you should recognize it as IM. This is what makes them special in my opinion.
Their music is perfect for certain moments a party where people can just close their eyes and ride the phat mushi basslines.
Go listen to their latest EP "birthday" with Barry Sakharof. It is great.
Both teams played hard |

Infected's music is unique because thier stile is element from rock, jaz and classic music mixed whith psy.
no melodies? what about this tracks?

i don't really like infected lately, but one thing i can say for sure, they DO make the most melodious tracks, and they sure know how to "play" the synth.
about having only 1,2 great tracks on an album, well, i hardly found any album lately which had more than two tracks worth listening to, i'm not talking about great. but that's me talking about the first two albums, the third was waaaaaaaaay too melodious and almost not trance at all, and about their release to come, well i've written what i think about that elsewhere
i do appreciate these two guys as having a lot of talent, having very clean works, and the infected sound too bad they turned to the club side

so Infected's music really worths the conversation =)
well "bust a move" doesnt really attracted me.. cool intro, thats all i may say about it
"symphonatic" is truly better one but i heard it 2-3 times and thats it. Cant say why.. probably its too professional music to impress me
they use great synths, but i guess those synths able to produce more harmony and the sequences might be a bit more melodic (otherwise, its like listening to machine made music)
I dont doubt their professionalism.
sure they do have a good ear and do know how to play piano and their sound quality amazes me, but not anything else.
i still think their best is weird effects and sound quality, but not the music itself
btw does anybody knows if they master their tracks by themselfs or they just pay for a good sound studio?

In Trance saying that they have good sound quality and good effects is like saying to a rapper that he's got good beats ang good bass.
It's one of the things that differs a good trance act and a great trance act.

Again, this is an argument over one's personal preferences in music. you can go on explaining why you did or did not like this or that track, but it's only that way through your eyes. not everyone will come to terms with that, but hey, that's the world we live in, ain't it?

They master it themselves (actually Erez does it, and he also master a lot of other trance releases).
The best thing about their sound is how they can create intricate and very well layered pattern. The worst? most of the times it sounds kind the same...
but come on, deeply disturbed is one crazy wacko tune, and so are most of their previous works...
