Have you ever heard Infected 'Live' with a huge system and thousands of fellow trancers goin off in the bright blue morning after a long, dark, dirty night?
If you haven't, I suggest you try this.
In that moment, they are THE masters.

Well, as someone who isn't a big Infected fan, I can say a few things about their music.
A) The production is good. They are proffesionals. I usually can't find faults in their structure or execution, even when it's not to my liking.
B) Their style is unique (even though it smells of Impulse Tracker habits - and anyone who played around with that program knows that the IM structure is just an improved version of the only way you can make trance sound GOOD on that program).
C) Their sound work is complex. I don't find it as intricate as Hallucinogen or Shiva Chandra (yes, you do need intricate sound to make minimal, otherwise it sounds like crap), but they aren't satisfied with simplicity of sound, which I respect very much.
D) Their intros are really f*cking good. You can hear the "classic" music education talking throughout their tracks - they have a good sense for drama.
It's not my cup of tea - but I understand what people find in this music.

Infected mushroom is "pop trance" if you ask me..
Their music (especially the 2nd album) has so commercial sound that pretty much everyone should dig it.
What makes their music good? Well I like the effects and the samples and the basslines, but still it's not even close to perfection.. just my opinion..
btw their freestyle/experimental stuff might be a lot more interesting, because that's the style where artists can really show their talent, cause there simply are no rules!

first of all, in my opinion, theyre the most talented ever ( simons downthere in the list.. ), the best group, the two guys r just apropriate, ppl don respect em coz of their last trax styles, cheez pop n house  , ppl like em firstovall coz of the great skills shows on their real trax, the GREAT ARTIFICE theyre showin, itz the best combination, Erez on the melodic rythems, Amit on the "Joints playin"..  .. so the results r excepted, i agree to all bout their cheezy style on last time, but the real infected classical power, just the great ever, with all the respect to all other artists,..

maybe u have infected taste.. seems ur lookin on the "BustAMove" n "Symphonatic" as their 2 great hits .. n thats wrong, really wrong.. don say shits if u don really know all trax, or just have defected taste(possibly! ), ForExmple, take that trak: RETURN OF THE SHADOWS, i prefer it on both trax u said, n many more maden by infected.. this trak shows the perfect powder toxic death mushrooms power, also check the "perfectness" of D A N C I N _ W I T H _ K A D A F I

I never heard them "Live".
I've mentioned those two tracks because someone told its classics. I have heard most of Infected's tracks.
"Dancing with kadaffi" has nice melody in it, but it got a lot of places inside, which i couldnt leave in my final track =)
"Return Of The Shadows" is boring, i heard it 1 time and didnt want to hear it ever again, nothing special for me in that track.
Their basslines? well, i guess Astral and MFG got better basslines in almost every their track
the same about complexivity of sound
but i guess they are working in different styles so its impossible to compare
maybe for their style they are complex
They do sound very commercial and unique, their intros are cool in some tracks and their fx are cool - i was agree about this from the beginning
Somebody told that they mix jazz, rock and trance.. it doesnt impress me guys. I mix more styles in my music 
So lets say their uniqueness and sound quality got them high. Ok, thanks for the response - its interesting to know what makes people like another bands, while you having your one
sometimes it helps to understand what ur own music missing

Personaly i like lots of IM tracks from the last 3 albums . I havent listened any of the new ones, so i cant say something about that.
The truth is that they produce something unique , something that can only be categorised as Infected mushroom music.. Melodies can be found in almost every track some are listenable really clear others are highly distorted its a kind of mix..IMO a good mixture of fashionable melodies combined with bizzare instrument filtering.
I feel that their music is psychedelic and strange .. It is Pop(ular)-psytrance? Yes it is ! They are popular but their music not resembles with the actual POP scene or the Clubby thing..
IMO: Its popular, its good , its unique , its psychedelic , its Infected Mushroom.. |

Well, imo IM is the best there was in trance 4 me, and probably the best that ever will b...
Can u say about any artist that each of his tracks is an art work? Y do u think that they r so big now here in israel? Classical Mushroom was a masterpiece, plain and simple. What they've done will take years 2 "surpass?"
Their unique style, melodies, bass-lines, FX's, Samples, Everything is fuckin' great! this music speaks 2 u, it speaks 2 the mass's, and as 1 of the "mass's" i can say that any1 that hears that music (4 example, Bust a Move) getts attached 2 it, even my geek parents nodded their heads when i 1st played it 2 them!
They r the 1st Trance act 2 do it big time, musically speaking (In israeli terms offcourse), they r everywhere, from trance parties, 2 rock concerts, 2 festivals 2 anything. they r huge and they deserve it cause they've made it on their own!
As 4 their "new" style in music, i think that it is great, they r trying 2 combine thier "psychedelia" 2 the house scene, and it is great! i've been 2 many "house" parties that u can suddenly hear the DJ plays "Psycho" or so and what they r trying 2 do is 2 concquer the "better" and well funded scene in electronic music, and if i was them, id probably do the same thing!
Anyways, i can babble 1000 more days about their music, but i wont

I saw infected live one stage view,this was because im a friend of the rental store manager ,that is also a well known Techno producer here in Portugal!
The veredict is the music they make is real professional and ,quoting Erez,made to reach other audiences then trance listeners,they matter every detail in Composition and developed a unique Infected M. Style that can be recognized miles away !
In live set they suck ,they simply order tons of gear (Juno 106;Nordlead;TC Eletronics M-one; etc)to do nothing ,in fact me and that friend of mine were seeing Erez in the Nord Twisting the Filter cutoff so hard and the music staying the same,not to mention that there were things not properly connected in stage !!!
Note that this was like 3 years ago,i never saw them again ,not my style !!!
