well i am a pledged infected lover ...
i began my way through trance like many others through infected's killer tracks and even today after years of listening to them i still have classical in my car playing a big precentage of the time...
i simply love the way they finish up after each track and giving speacial consideration to all the little details...
now that that's said :
i am simply unbelivably dissappointed with thier live sets!!!
i have gone to so many hoping each time that i will hear that which i expect and time and agian i have gone dry... i even tryed d\l performances of them and exept of some speacial moments thier overall sets are unadequate to my taste...
maybe i put them to a to high standart of fantasy in my head but that is just my opinion ...
i think it is the mind's right to die befor the body, but alas it is the body who is stronger in its will to perish... |

Thalaron, I can't believe you didn't enjoy their lives. For me it's just Infected REALLY loud and clear (at least that's how Vision Quest does it) and IMO REALLY loud and clear is exactly how Infected should be heard. (and Vision starts again tomorrow!  ) makes me wanna cry.... hahahaha

Some love them, some hate them. That's the deal. Not many are in the middle of it (I am, though  ).
The Gathering was revolutionary.
Classical Mushroom was a masterpiece.
BPempire sucked big time.
Let's hope they get better.

i wonder how they can make live of those tracks.. i have a question: how much different synths do they use usually in one track? I understand its impossible to count because each track is something different but yet.. 3-5-10 is the middle? what do u think?
*im not talking about SFX - i am talking about synth lines and basslines only*
it doesnt really matter - sure, even made with 1-2 synth lines trance would be cool but it still interests me because im using around 10-15 different synth\bass lines in my tracks (5-7 lines together at one time)

for live act at parties they use:
Makie 24/4 or 24/8 or 32/8 (Mixer)
Nord Lead 1, 2 or 3 (Keyboard)
Korg MS-2000 (Keyboard)
Roland - Juno 106 (Keyboard)
Digitech - Studio Quad (Effect Processor)
and all the the required cables...
and sure the notebook

Just saw Infected again at Vision Quest last weekend. Maybe it was just my space at that time, but I tend to agree their majik is fading a bit. Their old classics were great (once again), but their new stuff, well... This Birthday track has a catchy tune, but this whole singing with trance bit is really a mistake. I'm with you Sound Surgeon. They've given so much (and I've taken!) but where are they going now?

kaatisu san, the birthday tune is a remake for an old rock classic, done in a joint venture with one of israel's leading rock artist in the past 2 decades, it's not supposed to be trance

By the way the track is currently ranked number 2 in Galgalatz radio station chart, which is the most listened radio station in Israel.
This is something that never could happen in any other country but Israel for better and worse.
I'm behind Infected all the way!
