its like electronic smoothe jazz with really terrible vocals.

i guess you have to do whatever you need to do to make a living in electronic music these days but this is embarrassing.

tsss , wats with all the dissing people ? so far , 4 reviews , 41 cribbing posts ` theyr not psy anymore , no good for listning of acid ., too commercial.` blah blah .. back in the day , when they were doing psy , they gave the world some of the best music ever , gathering etc .. as navjot singh siddhu would say , ``they left indelible footprints on the sands of time`` .. so lets respect them for that if nothing else , even otherwise , how many people still sooo hardcore into the whole psy thing as they were 5 - 7 years ago ? didn't any / many cut your dreads , stopped taking so much acid and stopped smoking so many chillums etc ? .. difference is , you all got jobs in banks etc while they decided to make clubby trance music with vocals , and snort lines on the mixer with thousands of screaming fans , while you polish the boss`s knob looking for a promotion , i recently saw an interview of them on youtube where they talk about just making dance music to make people dance and have a good time , trance for them is not a spirutual thing and they dont take it all so seriously .. let em be .. dont like it , dont listen .

about the album , havent heard yet , i too dont really like their new style so i haven't bothered looking for it ,im sure theres some nice stuff in there anyway ,ill agree here with someone who said in this thread that they have a way to go before they can be compared to kraftwerk , massive attack etc .. but theyl get there.

ok , ciao =)

it seems to me that the psytrance scene is getting close to metal scene. it's not "true" enough
i love this album
it's full of originality.
yeah. it's not pure psytrance.
so what?
it's great music
i don't judge music by its genre.           u can find "Anything U Want" using the search...

'Vicious Delicious' is like the 3rd CD of 'Converting Vegeterians', that said it's a great album. It just feels Infected weren't 100% into it...
And I've just bought it (for $9 in Tower Records)!          ===>

I can't believe that this is the same group who created The Gathering and Classical Mushroom.

With that said, we should all know at this point not to expect a psychedelic trance album.

I think IM lost it's psychedelic flair completely when they released IM the Supervisor. One of the things that really annoys me about their music today is the lack of voice samples(i.e "A man with a bass just walked in, and he's putting it down on the floor"). Instead what we get now is Duvdev yelling "EEEEEE-yeahhhhhhh" or some electronic variation of it.

Anyways, the album itself is okay. My favorite song on the album is Vicious Delicious.

Don't get me wrong, I think IM is still a talented group. However, its been said in this thread, IM is not psytrance anymore.

It's time to move on to the next step in the psychedelic revolution. We've reached a certain point, but we're not moving any more.

WELL IīM ALWAYS HV BEEN AN INFECTED FAN, BUT I AGREE WITH SOME POSTS HERE I THINK SOME OF THEY TRAX COULD BE BETTER, BUT I REALLY LIKE "ALL" IM MUSIC, 4 ME NOTHING OF THEY R CRAP MAYBE A LIL SLOW OR SOME BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF INFECTED MUSHROOM TRY TO MAKE AN ALBUM WITH HIS "INFECTIOUS AND TWISTED" SOUNDS.

AND FINALLY ITS TRUE THAT NO ONE CAN PUT THE STYLE THAT INFECTED HAS I THINK IF U LOVE OR HATE INFECTED U ALWAYS CAN SAY WHEN U HEAR IT....THATīS INFECTED MUSHROOM....

WELL, LOVE NīLIGHT 2 ALL WORLD CÝA

I will say I became interested about this album after this review section.. Maybe first time isratrance allow "unreleased" cd to be reviewed....

And also about this "this is not psy" thing...

First thing I felt about it was kind of similarity about BTīs Emotional Technology album. And itīs not cause of Pavel, as I like BT very much. So, I putted BTīs album for some comparison also(sorry for this, but I canīt say bad things about IM pop music without a reference)...

For me thereīre 2 kinds of music here. Psy Trance(yes, I would call as psy) and Pop Music. Just for reference, BTīs album is some way like this, but with Dance/Trance Music and Pop Music.

I donīt know why ppl say, and even IM say that they are not psy artists anymore(maybe we will see only at next album)... The dancefloor tracks are really psy imo, and really IM style. OK, thereīre too many vocals, but I can clearly listen IM old vibes ,melodies and synths... And as psy music was always about "quality" I canīt say that those "300 fxīs on Duvdevīs voice" arenīt cool sounding... Lotīs of effective pans, and reverbs... Not to mention the "full on climax break".. And unbelieveable "psy trance loudness"!!! And I say psy trance, cause it sounds like psy music. Very loud!

Here my first BT vs IM... I like dance music, so I liked the BTīs dancefloor tracks. Very well done. But I was surprise for the fact of the "kick-bass" groove at IM album... Itīs not the typical rolling, melodic or even "groove"... Here I finally found the easy "pumpy style" again! Maybe I didnīt listend so much the others album, but I felt also that the synths here are much more "raw and harsh" as old IM, really twisted "synth games", and old IM melodies... Too much noizes at some climax tracks(typical full on) , but always cool "calm down" section.

Now about the pop part... For me it sounded "old"... Old IM vocals, with old pop influences... Now BT wins for a large range... While the feelling about BTīs album was "WOW!! Killer sound, perfect glicht control, itīs like pop music but with more audio work,....." ; IMīs one was more like "humm... like BTīs album." For sure itīs not exactly same style, but the target for sure is the same. And BTīs album I listened several YEARS ago. So here I prefer BT.

Bottom line: I liked very much the cd. Suliman is my fav here, and what a favourite. This is pumping music!!! Itīs pop, but u jump!! lol Good points for overall dancefloor tracks, although I didnīt like so much the vocals timbre. Good points for the experiences at pop part, but didnīt impressed me so much.

Hazzy.

Brother, I admire your passion. But don't get so bent out of shape over something thats been dead and gone for 3 years.

Also,I'm quite certain it was me that got you into IM... not some silly online radio station

anyways...
I'm only going to critique one track... I've wasted enough time on this thread, let alone the reply....

The beginning of artillery is decent and was almost cool for me to listen to the first time... but the track takes a dive-bomb in a hurry... and quite frankly it makes me uncomfortable to listen to here on out.

One of the rappers on the track is Mad Child from Swollen Members and he fawking sucks bawls @ rapping... and yet he is on the track... which is shameful and terrible and shows where some of Infected's style has gone... to the shitcan! ... even more so than their lyrics.

I thought Cocco's grading scale was much more accurate than DayDay's err Hazzy's.

Infected Muskrats stopped making music for the F-A-M-I-L-Y in 2003 after BPeMpire was released.... they started gearing their music and performances to a broader spectrum of people (and by that I mean, casual fans and ravers, e.g. lesser mortals) ... but what they produce today is still trance... just not all of it... And for god sakes, Duvdev, YOU CANNOT SING... you're so far out of tune sometimes (on-stage) it's frightening... and your grammar is terrible and makes no sense... Please kill it already.

Don't get me wrong though, I listened to IM passionately for years... like a prepubescent teenie bopper crazed over Britney Spears... I really did love em and they're all that I listened to at the time. I can faithfully say if it was not for those two cats I wouldnt be anywhere near the Psy Scene and the wonderful, brilliant, sexy, spastic, crazy, freaky, motherfucks that are in scene today... and for that... I thank you A and E.

and,

Thank you META for telling me that IM sucks... I was once lost... but now I'm found... sorta.

One last note,
I was mildly excited to hear VD (haha Venereal Disease) for the first time and there were multiple times that I did receive chills up my spine and euphoric body/mind highs listening to this album for the first time... Infected still has their magic and their incredible ability to make music... but it just aint the same and I wouldnt expect it to be anytime in the future... but ya never know what these guys will try and do.

Sine Cera,

its mainly post-rock based like the second part of the "angry-brigade". and its music not "psytrance"
liked it a lot, and i prefer it anytime anywhere to have to listen to taylor/ford-made fullon, by people who forget where they came from and deny where they're trying to go.
and whats the deal with all the bad-mouthing by a majority that bought the album with 100mb worth of web-traffic instead of dollars or euros?
get a grip... if you have a critic you're welcome to present it, maybe IM will read it, otherwise why allways the same crap? they're doing what they like, and get payed to play like kids, and they dont give a crap about all this type of comments, I just hope someday i'm upthere with them in that state of mind, not giving a crap for people that dont give a crap...          DeluDe on www.divinemusictribe.com
