Im not complaining, Im simply trying to say that I intended this thread as a celebration rather than a lamentation. Sure everyone has their opinion. Do we need to read the same things, by the same individuals, every time someone mentions modern trance? You can post what you want, I cant say anything about that.
Im just tired of troll-like people coming out of the woodwork to bash trance at every opportunity. Honestly Ive heard it SOOOO much Id rather pull out my own teeth with a claw hammer. Sure a lot of trance is not original. WE KNOW!!!! Its not a problem for me, I just avoid the crap.
Mudpeople is happy that psychedelic trance music is still psychedelic trance music, where I live Id be happy to have ANYTHING psytrance. Mudpeople is happy that I can dance and become one with the music. Mudpeople is happy that the music is not the center of existence. Mudpeople likes whatever works.

i love the fact that everyday.........i can listen to NEW MUSIC.......
i love the fact that everyday....... there are thousands of people that are inspired......and are wanting to share their NEW MUSIC.....
i love the fact that everyday........ there are POSITIVE people that i can share my music and knowledge with......
i love the fact that everday........i can FEEL the ENERGY.........
i love the fact that everday......I am able to hear ORIGINAL music....
i love the fact that everyday...... i am able to dance and jump around here in my house as if it were the last time...
i love the fact that everday...... I am able to smile.......
i love the fact that everyday.....that i am able to attempt to be POSITIVE....
i love the fact that everyday....that i am able to LOVE....
i love the fact that everday.....i remember.......how much I LOVE MUSIC....
I love psytrance.........and psytrance loves me.......together.......we will go off into the sunset......and make lil psy sounds together......
and live happily ever after.....

Of course many philosophers over the millenia have wondered, whether or not anything at all can be truly original. Who knows? Maybe Hammurabi had a vision detailing every aspect of modern psytrance, but never had a way to share it, make the music himself? And by having his vision, hes the one who came up with the whole thing, whether it was known or not. So if its true that every "original" thought has already been thought, then there is nothing at all original, which means even debating whether somthing is original or not is absurd. If originality doesnt exist, that is.
The truth to me: Who cares, if it moves you its working, if all you want is originality maybe you're looking too hard in one place. Look at the white wall long enough and you can see Paris if you want to.

Hell: Derango, Penta, Antix, Electrypnose, Entheogenic, Tripswitch, Jikkentekki, Mantrix, Trentemoller, Benza, Ticon... just off the tip of my mind.
All of these in the last 18 months... How can you say trance is dead? look at all the different forms, listen to the beat, hear the beauty! |
