Trance is definitely still original.
Look at Quazar's album One Day.
Faerie Dragon's compo Squeech.
Tastes of wonderful things to come!
And, I always think, why is it so important to be original? Dont you think you should, first and foremost, concentrate on being GOOD at it, before you try and innovate? Case in point: Protoculture. I know he's got bad reviews for a new album that sounds like many others. Ive even talked shit. Then I gave Circadians a serious listen. And saw Protoculture's live. Its amazing shit, if you dont care that, yes, its not the most original material. It *IS* VERY well done.
So this thread is for those who are happy that psytrance is here, and is going to be here for a while to come!

Reminds me at times of the eighties, synthpop, and at other times of raves in the 90s.

It seems to me that the lines btwn house and trance are blurring. Artists like Liquid Soul, Motion, Behind Blue Eyes, sound similar to house at times. Its not a bad thing to me. But you can definitely hear the difference between that style and non-housey progressive, like Vibrasphere's track on Lime Light 2.

To your information I can tell you that the exact Vibrasphere track is the track that now have made Vibrasphere "break" into the House scene (source: Tribal Vision). It's the most Housey track Vibrasphere has ever relased. Apparently it seem your definition of House is very different from mine 
I have to disagree with the statement that some progressive trance and psy is leaning toward House. In my opinion there's stil a huge huge gap. On the contrary I find that psy and most progresssive trance tend to become more and more fast and go toward fullon.
The point should be that there's good music in all genres and bad music.

House or not, its all good music. Want a good prog house album? listen to DOUSK- D.I.Y its better than many trance albums.
