Would you be satisfied if your all grades in the collage would be 70?
Would it be good if a son would want to learn science and his mother would tell him to be a simple factory worker?
Why we, as albums buyers, should be happy with just good?
Why should we buy albums where there is no personal Artist's statement/signature/style?
Just good and not original is the enemy of creativity and a friend of the black cat behind your dumpster called copy  I don't like this cat very much he has broken tail and he stinks.
I know that not all artist can be original; but they should try.
There are so many 'good' albums but nothing original just a good technical work. Like Domestic's new album. I have very much respect to Ido, he is one of the dinosaurs of the scene, but his new album is 'good' and I mean just 'good'. Unlike his tracks in the past, the new album sounds nothing like Ido, with all those collaboration. It sounds like something that I heard many times before. Good technique, but no heart..
Bottom Line! Would you marry a robot? He is good but he has no heart.
I hope you got my point.
Creativity and originality should be encouraged in any healthy society.

of coure, Im merely saying that creativity without talent doesnt make it better than talent without creativity. Be good at making the average stuff, then you can make whatever you want to make, and it'll probably be good.
Learn to use the hammer before trying to build a house.
Maybe its good for that son to learn what its like to work in a factory, maybe that will make him work harder and appreciate it more once he becomes a scientist.
Im only recently getting into progressive psytrance. Ive never really listened to house much. To me that Vibrasphere track sounds very trancey, I guess if you like, call it house, call it a pile of hamburger, call it God, whatever. It'll be there no matter what we call it.

I know he's got bad reviews for a new album that sounds like many others. Ive even talked shit. Then I gave Circadians a serious listen. And saw Protoculture's live. Its amazing shit, if you dont care that, yes, its not the most original material. It *IS* VERY well done.
So this thread is for those who are happy that psytrance is here, and is going to be here for a while to come!

i dont knwo how you can name 2 cds and then make a sweeping claim that trance is still original....
TRANCE IS NOT ORIGINAL...
about protoculture, ciridians his a step backwards for him, he sounds like a rave producer now, its as fluffy as my dog, its all euro trance gloss....
liked his old stuff...hate his new, and yes it does sound like everyone else, especially the israelis.... howeever i will say i did enjoy listening him play in feb

so if its not original, and unoriginality is bad, and this is a trance message board.... Well logically if you dislike unoriginal stuff, maybe you should look elsewhere.
Of course there are MANY more albums that are original, I named those 2 off the top of my head, sorry I didnt spend half a day thinking about this post, Im just trying to say that IM HAPPY ABOUT TRANCE!!!!!!!!
If you're not, theres plenty of threads in this SAME FORUM where you can bitch and moan all you want! I started this thread as a celebration of what I LOVE. None of you can tell me what to like!!!!!

well I see how it can be taken that way.
My goal with this thread was to have a place where others who like modern psytrance can tell others how they still like it.
There are MANY other threads in this forum which are dedicated to how trance is no longer original. I hoped that this thread could be one where we could tell the world that we like trance still.
Im not complaining, Im simply trying to say that I intended this thread as a celebration rather than a lamentation. Sure everyone has their opinion. Do we need to read the same things, by the same individuals, every time someone mentions modern trance? You can post what you want, I cant say anything about that.
Im just tired of troll-like people coming out of the woodwork to bash trance at every opportunity. Honestly Ive heard it SOOOO much Id rather pull out my own teeth with a claw hammer. Sure a lot of trance is not original. WE KNOW!!!! Its not a problem for me, I just avoid the crap.
Mudpeople is happy that psychedelic trance music is still psychedelic trance music, where I live Id be happy to have ANYTHING psytrance. Mudpeople is happy that I can dance and become one with the music. Mudpeople is happy that the music is not the center of existence. Mudpeople likes whatever works.
