hmmm very nice stories i guess mine isn't as interesting.
i liked heavy metal (cause of my sister) and i was pretty much a loner within my friends with this kind of music. i didn't give a fuck tho. (again, cause of my sister i knew i was cool ).
then i started to listen to some club trance and nizhonot. i was given "clasical mushroom" in my nizhonot days and i tottaly dispised it... it took some time to get on me, and finally it did! i was hooked!
it took more time to understand techtrance and progy and other stuff, but i'm glad i did!!!

I used to frequent the Techno scene (after have been in HipHop - Fusion - NYHardcore - Punk) which was VERY easy due to my geographic situation... from the end of 1996 'til about 2 years ago (with some periods where we were out nearly each week-end and several times per week-end). I have seen for exemple Chris Liebing many many times such as Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Sven Väth, Thomas Kröme, Anthony Rother, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Josh Wink, The Advent, Gayle San, Der Dritte Raum, and so many others.... I just got tired in a way of these parties where gOod surprises became more and more rare, and the atmosphere in parties demeaned slowly but surely..

In 99 a friend, after the Street Parade in Zürich took me to the ZoOm Festival at the ZoO and whoaaaa what a blast it has been for me...

... for a while i have frequented both Techno and PsyTrance parties with a progressive inversion in choosing the parties... Yet I go toTechno gigs only in rare occasions..

Many things beyond the music itself made me so sensitive to the PsyScene... but this is another story....

To sum up my starting point of PsyTrance experience remains (and i can't see any other reason) the PARTY itself.

Peace.

Well, I've been into psychedelic music since 1983, and electronic music since about 1989/1990, although I had been listening to Kraftwerk a couple of years before that. Went to my first psy party in 1990, and they played psy rock and dance music as well. Bought Eat Static's Abduction and Implant in 93/94....Been hooked forever           Turn On, Tune In, Trance Out!!!

hmmmm.... i came from the heavy metal scene and i never opened myself to another types of music i thought that if its not Metal then its not good for me (stupid ha? well, we all use to be kids ) ... i liked metal but i realized that i realy like the guitars and drums but the lyrics wasnt something for me.... one of my favorits (and still are) wich they were not an "heavy metal" band were Pink Floyd. then i searchd for something more electronic and i opened myself to other types of music... then a friend of mine gave me some CD to pass to my nighbore... it was a burned CD with a funny name on it... so i couldnt hold myself from hearing it.
BooM! - it cought me! what can i say? im hooked! took me to another world! and from there... well, you can see by yourself... im inlove

In the middle of 8th grade, I got a CD with some Astral Projection and MFG tracks.
I listened to a couple of tracks, and really liked it.
One of those tracks was MFG - Overload - When I first listened to it I felt chills over my whole body, and I was hooked
And still am

So it's like that:
When I got to junior high school (I was 12 back then) I had some arsim friends which listened to nitzhonot all the time. Took me a while, but then I started to like it, but still it wasn't the thing I was listening to the most.
A year passed and when I was in 8th grade someone gave a cd with trance mp3's. Don't remember the exact contents of it, but it had MWNN, Hallucinogen, some Israeli trance, etc. I fell in love with it, and went to a record shop.
One of the names, MFG, was familiar from the mp3's and I bought it. That's my story.
