still humans who can be a pain in the arse... but i have looked at this.. hippies are useless and cant org for shit... but psytrancers are headienistic (spelling) but can become a ego to deal with... so they are all human... really you can never judge them... remember a dance floor is for all... fuck the reason! |

What is most heard about hippies is they yes, they were very commited...but those were the few ones who made history....
unfortunatelly i think the fact is that most were a bit diferent...
most hippies where just a bunch of stoned people who didn“t do much more in their lives than smoking cannabis, trip on lsd, criticizing society and people that where actually doing something for their lives, while sitting on the couch or running in the park naked making sex to each other...
"in their heads" they though they were actually making the best for the world and though they had the answer for happiness... 
So yeah...some prytrancers could be definetelly called hippies in my opinion  looll

aw common you find same ppl everywhere then why pinpoint hippies ?
learn to see what good they did not what they lost to do this good and now here we stand dissing them ........................ how low can we stand now .............................. and arent psytrancers (thats wht u wud liked to be called ) not doing the same ............ does a body clean up like shaving n stuff graduates you to be a superior lot
Hippies still exist in each one of us but we see the bad first and good never ................. they were against the system then and they did work for a living leave a certain % apart ...........
So how many in this trance scene do work most are in schools and colleges and does working certifies that a person is good ....all we need is love and compassion amongst each not money only though its imporatant to earn your bread ...........bridge the gap dont broaden it ..........
hippie this hippie that ........... if you dont like to feel like a hippie then dont be .................as i said earlier it is just a mind set "its all in the mind" so just relax and let everyone be what they want to be and you be what you want to be but also LEARN TO LOVE AND RESPECT for what you know and what you dont

For me trance people are in fact modern hippies. i could not imagine a trance party without hippies it would be like house or techno etc not a crowd that go for it full power like hippies. Hippies love drugs and music and love the nature, they love everything that is reality you know. and they make there best to live a better life and to make a difference in this world of crazy plastic people.
Hippies are those people who are down to earth and can be at any level with any kind of people. Come on hippies are nowadays trance people!

u are right because hippies accept everyone and this but today what remains of our culture is very little and it is due to the fact that we accept everyone and now what we have is that we have everything mixed up and culture is being lost!

I mean that I don't and simply cannot agree at all with your statement because it is VERY close not to say exactly the same arguments used in politics by the extrem right.

Not at all, I was just reacting to the sentence I've quoted, and I didn't tell that Ganjagil was sharing their ideas either. Only the way the statement was written made me react. And yes you're right about politics but you know, I would not be able to think "white" about Music, and "black" about everything else including politics, that's what i wanted to show here. I like halfcasting in everyday life, and I like halfcasting in Music.
And once again I strongly believe that Psychedelic Trance is no way better than Techno or House or any other music style. Basta.

I don't know at all what you're talking about here, I never wrote anywhere that I don't like hippies.. I even underlined earlier in the thread that they are the descendants of the Romantiscism cultural movement that appeared in the end of the XVIII century.. I don't think it's arguing that I don't like hippies when I'm writing this, do you think so ? The only thing is that the beginning of the hippie movement was not "new" neither "revolutionary".. Because their ideas were already existing in the Romanticism.

everyone but DJ psyberpunk from switzerland who was stoned (stones were throwned at him, dont get me wrong) during his preformance in BOOM2004 by hippies that dont like music under 140bpm.
Actually i was enjoying him very much.
Strangly James Monroe played preety much the same, the day before, and no one argued.
I was there, and saw exactly who was stoning him and throwing mud.
That's how twisted and hipocritical hippies can be.
It really changed the way i see them now.
Eventually stage manager shouted, "fkn goa nazis"
and you know what? I agree with him...
Sorry if i was too harsh, its definitly nothing personal to you, or "decent" and real tolerant hippies, but since it happened in the Boom, it was a really sad thing to say the least. |

You know it is a very delicate subject i think when you go to a festival and you expect really something spiritual like before and you find that the music that is being played is not at all spiritual well some people react in different ways, i am not saying i agree with throwing stones but i have seen people breaking other peoples cameras during a special moment in the dancefloor because it was not the place nor the time to take pictures it was a time to celebrate and be one and think about nothing. I am not saying this is right either but all i am saying is that when you love and know were we can go with music it sometimes makes you angry that because of other people it is ruined...
