i checked the page for the party taking place in skopje

as u can see a 2-day fest has a ticket price of 25 E at the door (20e presale),which is the lowest price u can get for a party in athens!!
are we such a high class city after all???
have i been living under a rock all these years?

U r so right.Tin exoume dei teleiws here in Athens!!And in Greece more general!I can hear from friends in other countries that parties with 2 stages cost the same that parties cost here but with less dj s and producers..Maybe we should move or something..

25 or35 is a very reasonable price for a party with djs and producers which don't have an lp in their portfolio! friends(ke kala,sovareftite reeeeeeeeeeee)
at least give us quality acts

We had the same discussion many times in the past and i again tried to explain to people to not compare party prices in different countries (specially comparisons like UK with Greece or even Greece with Skopje in this situation) cause the living standards in each country are different.
Also comparing a party price with a festival price is again wrong cause obviously more people go to an outdoor festival than an indoor party.
Many factors are different,for example an artist charges less to play in Skopje than in Greece and also renting a place and a soundsystem is obviously less expensive in Skopje than in Greece.
I was speaking with the main promoters in Yugoslavia about organising an event with them and when i heard the prices for renting a very big place and compared it with the money that local club owners charge promoters here in Athens i couldnt believe them.Same with sound,visuals and decoration prices.
And speaking about prices the Sonica festival which is much bigger in every aspect from line up to facilities and everything has a price of 40 euro presale (45 including the booking fee) with Hallucinogen,Etnica and Infected Mushroom on the line up which i am sure these three just cost the same money as the full line up as the festival in Skopje.
So to end this story.
Dont compare party prices in different countries.
Dont compare festival prices with party prices.

i WILL compare party prices in different countries because we can see that in more rich countries and in more poor countries than greece prices are much better so the cost of living has nothing to do with it.and that pisses me off because MY money is on the line here
and I WILL compare festival prices with party prices when i see what they offer.Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the price supposed to be increased accordingly to what the party offers??whats the point in charging great amounts for shitty parties?

Psy_Mystic i will once again try to make you understand that things dont work the way you think they do.
I said to you to not compare prices between different countries.Lets have an example here,a club of 1000 people in Athens costs lets say 10 euros to rent it for a party,the same club in Yugoslavia costs 5 euros and the same club in Japan costs 12 euros.An artist charges for a live perfomance in Athens 8 euros,for a live perfomance in Yugoslavia 6 euros and for a live perfomance in Japan 16 euros,as you can see there are price differences for exactly the same things depending the country.So in the end the entrance fee in Athens will be lets say 5 euros,3 in Yugoslavia and 8 in Japan.And imagine that there are price differences in every thing concerning the organisation of a party such as flyers and posters,flight tickets (have an idea how much it costs to bring someone from europe to Japan?) and sound and decoration stuff.So as you can understand comparing prices between different countries is not accurate most of the times.And dont forget that Athens is one of the most expensive capitals in Europe in every aspect.
And because you will now come and say to me 'Ok Japan is more expensive but what happens with UK?' i will reply to you that prices in UK are less expensive than the ones in Greece (not to mention the quality of parties here and there) simply because there is a bigger audience there and bigger competition,and i am talking about competition in all fronts.For example in Athens we have 10 big clubs while in London you have 200 clubs,even in the suburbs they got more clubs than our capital has,this means that its easier to get a club there and sometimes less expensive i dare to say.Also a big party in London can get 1000 people easily while in Athens the average crowd for a big event is no more than 500 people.We are talking about 500 tickets difference here can you get the idea of that?Its a lot of things that people that havent ever organised a party ignore and a lot of things that need a lot of research before you come out in public and speak about them,thats why i dont blame people like you Psy_Mystic that come in public and complain about prices and quality of parties and stuff like that,i used to do that also before some years till i learned how things work in the market 
Last but not least i insist that comparing one night parties and a festival is a big mistake.Have you ever thought that a 3 days festival has the same income just from its bar sales as a one night party has from everything including entrance fee and bar sales?It might sound funny or strange to you but these are details that most people ignore
YES the party prices in Greece are expensive but from my experience this is not due to the fact that organisers want bigger profits all the time but due to the fact that the cost of organising an event in Athens is extremely high due to the huge demands of club owners and even artists that often play here.
Hope i make you think some things cause its not pleasant for me to write such big replies

the cd prices r rised and hard toooo ! y is that ? discobole sales their own cds just for 20-30 euro ! anythin cost alot in the dream city .. simple usual things like coffe and bread .. in same time phonokol sales just for 11 usd ( and offer discounts and bonus)

this is the problem for all our country and is not only Athens problem.

cheaper a festival in scopia than a party without deco in Greece!

every time a topic like this 1 goes up , its the same thing people doing parties explaining about prices to the others , and they are write , when they say Dj ask a lot of money in greece its true/
1. Dj make there price depending the capacity of the place+ if festival 3 times there fee,
2. doing a party you have to cover the first 200 tikets to take your money back ,and again depends the dj name, will you people that complain give me the money back if i cut only 1000 tikets and i go in from my poket.
3.the risk is 50% to go to prison in athens mostly, or pay 15,000 to layers if something happens,,
4. why do you think promotors in athens do parties if they have money, and bring sasha or paul van dyk, and make realy good money from that, and they do psytrance with the people that never respect the organizers ,and have given to the world psychedelic parties as the worst party name in the world . this sceene is 100% stamped from the police,, but still even though you know still do bullshit in the party,
5. to finish when the organizers in athens stop doing psytrance events as many have stoped, you can get a tiket by train to tessaloniki which costes 34 euros with the old train , 25for the entrance , 20 for food, 79 all together , good price for saturday, 25 for 1 athens party to expessive , i will go to parties in pakistan were the entrance is 4 euros in the clubs , imarton like promotors put a gun to your heads to come /to the events |
