I listened to trance allmost day long (and all night long, in my mind). Usually I hear at high volumes, but sometimes I hear at very high volumes

That might sound stupid but, am I risking a damage for my hearing? Is there any way to know that?

Thanks in advance,
TiM

I don't think I'll ever put earplugs in a party - I mean what's the point? You come to a party coz you want to hear the music pumping and pumping hard!

Just lower the volume a bit when you listen at home           Mighty Fat Records

Hell yeah, we all get some hearing damage. I even dubbed the day after the party hearing problems as "raver's ear" (after the much more famous "athlete's foot"). So what.

We fuck our hearing.

We also know it's worth it           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Well my listening from my right ear is not as good as the one from the left and i am preety sure that this is caused from the high volume music that i listen at home.
I figured out this problem when people at parties are trying to speak with me but when they talk to me from the right ear i cannot hear a thing but when i turn the left ear everything sounds crystal clear

Anyway we are all going t die one day           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

keep your ears healthy! otherwise, what is it worth if you can't listen to the music u love so much? what good is it if you lose your hearing from the music u love?

It's just like we know smoking damages our health, does anyone do anything about it ?

well I have only two suggestions..;
1)buy earplugs like everyone here say , even tho its quite embarrassing , haha
2)don't dance next to the speakers!
cheers

Thats a very interesting subject.. First of all Rosengren is 1000% right! I guess everybody felt after a party a ringing in the ears.Thats Tinitus which is a symptom of damage to the structures of the ears. Imagine that in some cases the sound dB may reach levels like 110 dB = chain saw!!!
Sound levels like that can cause immediate ear damage in seconds!! Earplugs its a solution but again you loose high frequencies sounds... I have heard that in the market exist high fidelitty earplugs maybe thats better. Personaly i havent used none of this and i guess that some kind ear damage propably occured to me after all these years partying. Maybe its time to do something about that. You?

And how you watch at the screen then? LOLOL

Well i guess this is an important matter and if lets say someone listens to trance for 30 years or something then at the age of 45 he will probably end up with very very serious hearing effects.
Should we ask a doctor or something?
I am very serious on this one cause as i stated before i have already noticed some hearing problems on me.
Ah and some visions problems from too much PS2 and Pc screen. LOL
Well something has to be done i guess.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!
