when i first heard artha's music, it instantly hit me - "this is like hallucinogen went back to producing trance!" - and dont get me wrong, it didnt sound to me like he copied his music, but the influence was so apparent to me, but it had a flavor of its own

i know im definitely not the only one who thinks the same, so when i stumbled upon his remix of LSD, i was wondering what do others think of it?

here you go... share your thoughts

Why are you all so desperate to have a new Hallucinogen? Why can't you be happy with what Simon P did under that alias in the past & leave it like that? Artha to me has some elements of Halkucinogen but not as good at all. It's like saying Filteria is the new Etnica or Pleidians. Sure they're heavily influence but IMO I'd rather they use such talent to do their own style than try to sound like old classics. It's like listening to cover bands, just boring           Cuntus Maximus.

artha also covered gamma goblins years ago.

this lsd cover is not my favorite track of his. it's not terrible or anything - but it doesn't grab me like, say, sanjassin does.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Artha is influenced by Hallucinogen, his remixes clearly presents that but at the same time in my ears it sounds much much more psychedelic than Hallucinogen ever was. IMO it sounds thousand times better. It's like Hallucinogen brought acid to trance and Artha made out of it almost an overdosis.           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

eh...I still like the hallucinogen work more and think 'thousands of times better' is a drastic overstatement even though I really like artha.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Heard the soundcloud clip.
I much prefer the original.
That distorted kick in the remix, puts me off.

Really? Because all Artha has given me to date is a bad taste in my mouth, like eating sh1t presented as food. There's no soul or spirit in his music, just like 99.99% of the modern Goa style. It's cut and copy rubbish with zero originality.           Cuntus Maximus.

wow oz you have a really nice way of expressing your taste/criticism... really great choice of words

but honestly if you think artha is copy/paste music then i wonder whats your definition of original music, what do you consider as good music? i hardly listen to anything post 2001 in the trance realm (into downtempo for the last couple of years), but when i first heard artha about 4 years ago it really struck me as something different, i also didnt like the vast majority of what was labelled "neo goa" as it was too over the top on most parts, or lacked the spirit/ambiance on others, artha was (still is) a different story - and as i said, yes you can hear the hallucinogen influences, but i do think that he took it his own way and thats why i called it successor, hardly if at all anyone else has delved into the realms of the music hallucinogen created, space tribe might have sounded a lot like him on his early releases, but none quite in the same vein like artha has. as a someone who really liked what simon has done as hallucinogen, i for one am really happy that somebody's further exploring this realm

its all a matter of taste, but theres a way to present criticism

well yess thousand times is a bit overstatement I agree but imo he's a very great talent in this music genre one of very few deserve truely the name psychedelic in the genre.Hallucinogen's music was great in the 90's - to me, now he is a legend and he deserves it. I just think some artists are a now better and offers good true psychedelic vibes straight from the core.

mike : lol .. sorry can not find a better answer. Peace mate have a nice day

yep its just boring. two words for you, neo goa, you have different viewpoints within different threads that are basically the same type of subject matter, which implies your unsure about your own facts.
