Dont worry MetaHyde there will always be a label to sign you somewhere in Israel or India.Just make sure that the bpm is over 155 the rest will come on their own.

btw I have just stated a label and is looking for new talents. Preferable someone who know how to pretend to know how to use fruityloops "on stage" and are willing to have our new T-shirts on 24/7 saying "kilarghhh Records"
You do not have to be able to make music. We have our own studio and we wil make it for you from the 1032 sample CD's we have in stock.

Why is it that every time an artist speak out then the artists have to hear stupid comments like "you are elitist", "go and make music instead of hanging out n the fourms" etc. ect? Idiotic!!!!
Now I will comment on your opinion that it's cool that as many as possible make music. Well yes let everybody do music if they like.... Just dont release their music!!!
Why?
Because just as everybody do not have the talent to paint pictures and sell them or to be a Chef in a 3 star Gourmet Restaurant so does not everybody have the talent to make music no matter how much they think they are the next "killargghh" star!
That's the essense of the major misunderstanding in this little scene. NOT everybody should be a artist or a DJ simply because the talent is not there no matter how much they delude themself into thinkng that they have a talent.
If the scene cut back on the way too many "artists" and "DJ's" that never should have started in the first place then we might see some quality come back instead of the massive flooding of bedroom music that should stay in the bedroom.
And sorry but I simply do not see people got much of a clue what is quality or not. Once they hit the dancfloor on various checmicals their sense of quality (if they ever had such a sense) leave their brains and the "masshysteria" for "cool" basslines, 150+ bpm and "clowns" on stage take over!

I come to this thread looking for constructive information and possible solutions to what the psy community would consider an imminent problem in today's scene.
What I see is mostly dissin'!!
Let's be a bit more humanely proffessional about this pls!!
I agree that all things change .. it's one of the constants in this world and is inevitable, but as responsible psyheads we should be focussing ourselves on making the transition positively with a constructive goal in mind!
Having a biased outlook and demeaning attitude towards one another is neither gonna make the scene better, nor will it propel it to the scale and hights that i'm sure all of us envision.
That said ... i would like to make it very clear to all my bruddas n sistas here that i mean not to target or hurt anyones feelings - but i feel that this is something that must be highlighted for the betterment of all involved in the psy world.
On Topic :-
I agree and have heard from alot of my peeps (as also stated earlier in this thread) that there have been loads of psy record labels mushrooming all over the world, i see this as a positive step in the growth of the industry!! However my understanding is that a majority of them would be fronted by individuals who lack label management experience and are just looking to make a fast n easy buck - very tempting maybe .... but will do very little to contribute anything worthy to the psychedelic community in the long run!
Get involved - come together; rather than draw boundries across your psyche!!
Why don't labels with a good and strong standing synergise with certain smaller ones which propose a positive and dynamic vibe? Cos every individual, being unique, may conjure up at least 1 brilliant idea that may be race the growth and subsequent sales.
My understanding of the industry is fairly limited to who makes what kind of music .... but the people who drive the business mechanics should seriously come together and think of how to keep the scene alive and pumping. That will lead to healthy development!!
Big wigs .... pass on some of the knowledge and know-how to the younger, aspiring generation, for thats where the future lies .. unless you feel that it's all wasted!!

I aspire to make my mark in the psy world with my music some day, and I know that given the opportunity to gain the power of knowledge to help me realise my dreams, i would not back out, given the favour of luck and time on my side!
There is at least 1 person i know of in India who is acting on these lines and God Bless him for that ... WAVELOGIX - u da man!!
