Everybody I know seems to be going to Goa in October. So even if there isno party - you can all get together and have a party

true..............
People while we are on this can we decide on a place were everybody on the forum can meet in goa may be not on a particular day it could be a place where for sure we should see members from the forum...................
lets see more suggestions so we can decide and meet up,this was also suggested on another topic...........

budddy !!
just made it from goa !! as usual soil maddening place  . well less crowd, but cream crowd. attended a party at anjuna.next to the temple.being offseason i am sure u would have some cheap deals as i did!!
parties r happening howeva u need right contacts !

PANAJI: The Goa Government has issued a stern warning, on the face of the upcoming tourist season, that it will not allow rave parties in the State.
The warning comes in the wake of reports that in some beach areas, such parties are being held under the garb of private parties, disrupting the peace at night for the villagers in the vicinity.
Held mostly in the coastal tourist belt of north Goa, with loud music till late hours in the night and alleged drug abuse, the rave parties frequented by foreigners, local youth and domestic tourists, are opposed by the local people.
Complaints
"Some of the convent schools in the nearby villages in Anjunem-Baga coastal belt have often complained to police about such parties being a big nuisance to students, but police seem to turn a deaf ear," said Albertina Ameida of Bailancho Saad, women's collective.
Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Wilfred de Souza on Friday warned the organisers of such parties and police officials in these areas of action if rave parties continue in the area.
Being big money spinners, the parties reportedly get patronage from various authorities, including village panchayats and local politicians, lament some villagers who did not want to be named.
"We will take this issue very seriously, and immediate action will be taken against the culprits. We will not allow rave parties to take place," Mr. de Souza told a press conference on Friday.
Party at beach
Taking serious note of the reports about rave parties in Anjuna beach in north Goa this week, de Souza said that he wrote to the Director-General of Police to inquire into the matter.
According to the DGP's report, the said party was a "private party" organised on the occasion of the opening of a shack (shacks are temporary eating places on the beaches put up during the tourist season across the beach-line of the state where cooked food and soft drinks and low-alcoholic drinks are served).
The report further said the party was attended by about 60 people and wound up at midnight, and did not continue till 2 a.m. as reported.
However, Mr. de Souza said the Tourism Department was yet to allocate shacks in the State.
Emphasising the need to take steps to check rave parties, Mr. de Souza said that he has discussed the matter with Chief Minister Pratapsing Rane, who holds the Home portfolio.
He said police personnel turning a blind eye to such happenings will be transferred.
People in the coastal belt have been asked to be watchful about rave parties, and report it to the police, he added.

Amazing to know that locals oppose it!
Raves and tourism are the bread and butter of Goa. I wonder how can they stop it?
