220 Volts redefines the ancient tribal ritual for the 21st century with a unique event that will take place at The Cultural Center Hellenic Cosmos (Building 56, Pireos 254) on Saturday 12 of June with special guest from San Francisco the one and only Goa Gil in an all night long 9 hours dj set.
Gil grew up in the middle of the San Francisco music scene of the 60's and then left San Francisco to journey to India in September 1969. Having been a musician all his life, and then doing intense yogic practices with gurus in the Himalayas, he tried to unite the two, music and yoga, into one spirit befitting this age. The result was the Music House, the Goa Full Moon parties and his concept of "Redefining the ancient tribal ritual for the 21st century". His focus is in using the party situation as a medium to uplift the consciousness of the participants through the trance dance experience. He met Ariane in Goa in 1985 and they have been together ever since. Ariane's keen interest in african djembe drumming and west african traditional dance and music has also had a big influence on the development and direction of Gil's musical tastes and concepts. Gil & Ariane's current musical project is "The Nommos" and Ariane's solo ethnoambientchill project is "Nimba" with the goal of both projects being to combine futuristic psychedelia with the ancient rhythms, music, and spirit of traditional cultures. Gil and Ariane continue to travel all over the planet
to bring to people the true goa feeling and spirit in the form of their marathon trance dance events. Dont miss the master's return in Athens in an unforgetable all night long dj set.

I just have one complain: I've been in Building 56 several times and I NEVER saw any deco!
You guys have the biggest place in Athens and you don't care for decoration at all!!
Parties are for music, parties are for people to come together and dance together and become one, a party in a huge grey building doesn't stimulate to this..
You get 20euro (which definately is a pretty fair price for a greek party) and you should offer some decoration. If you really try it, you can make "Apothikes" look like Wonderland, there is too much space in it :]

Speak for yourself mate.
As for the support when the next event will take place and it will have more than 1000 people (like most of the events in the last 2 years at the same place with the same setup) come again online and say the same bullshit just in case someone notices you and follows your advice.
We know what we are doing, the people know what we are doing and thats why our events are the most successful in all terms in the country for the last years.
The only comment the people have for our last gig is "When is the next party guys?"
Dont spend too much time on the beach mate,the sun is no good for you.

the era of pay nothing and take it all is gone now, deal with it. pay the costs to make a really good party and you'll have one. you can't say you do the best parties when you are the only organizer. it's like running alone and think you're a winner..
the fail is a matter of time actually, people can't take this anymore don't you see? if you're affraid of your business, improve it so it can survive. haven't you heard anything like this before? this is the way business go.
forget what you could do in the past.(30 euro entrance at universities and more..), we, the people who like parties and having fun, will not buy weak products anymore.

We are the only organizers? I can mention at least ten teams that had parties from the beggining of this year, i guess you didnt attented or payed attention to any of these events. We are organizing events for almost ten years by the way and we never were alone during all those years, we are still here, most of the promoters of the past are not, i guess this means something.
Concerning decoration we dont use decoration and we dont advertise decoration in our events, we work like this for already 2 years at Building 56, whoever doesnt like it is free to stay home or go somewhere else to have a good time. Its funny to discuss about the decoration in an event were everything was great (soundsystem,security,low entrance fee,etc etc), typical greek behavior to spot something and complain about it and forget all the rest things that were good.

of course i know you not the only organizer, hopefully there are people who love music not the money.
come on, it's only the money and 'contacts' factors that keeps you here all these years, most of us here know that and it isn't something bad as fact. what is bad is just beeing proud to do the best parties. ofcourse you make them since nobody else can't afford or even if he could, he can't rent building 56 without the right 'contacts'.
and typical greek behaviour is more hiding all mistakes and selling a product only in words and never with actions, if you know what i mean. i always express my good words when i feel like, don't act like politician there is no need.

For the love of God leave Detox alone. If you don't like his parties, don't go to them.
I've lived in the UK for 7 years and have been to a lot of parties, some of them where in warehouses that had amazing deco, some where at squats with nothing at all. I had a great time in all of them.
We all know the situation in Athenian parties.
Choose the places you go to carefully, instead of putting promoters, down.
The best way to get a message through, is by attending a party, or not.
