@ collision
he does it because he does not want the flow ddisrupted too much. He is taking you on a 20 hour trip with highs and lows and humor and fear. soething that you cant do in a 2 hour set without killing the flow.

dont get me wrong, I think the 20 hour thing is great. I understand completely as at one point nick and I were going to record a 10 hour demo because there is just way too much music to choose from... and its like running a long distance race, it well describes a flow and overall skill level.... but my questions were regarded mainly to why that is all he'll do... what about the people that want to book him for a performance, but have a killer lineup/flow with ranged artists that will bring you from one point to another? this is just as good for flow and in some aspects even better if you ask me |

I have seen him play shorter sets like at howeird street fair for example.
Maybe he like longer set for higher fee to make it more worth his while.
If you are not into his taste of music (like myself) then it is like torture!!! |

Check the video interview with Gil someone posted in the Trance section a few months ago…he goes into great detail about why he stopped playing festivals and sharing the lineup with other DJ’s. He’s just very particular about the music presented at events. |
