In 17 years of listening to electronic music I'm yet to hear a GMS track that is interesting or psychedelic.

Pure hyped crap IMHO.

Oh but they're responsible for full on or something you say.

Well look where full on has got this scene!! Seriously??

All GMS did was ruin everything for everyone.

Found in Space (sorry can't find a youtube clip for it).

If you never saw them between 1997 and 2001, you deft missed something special. The party would just go off (check samathraki DVD if you don't believe me). Everything since then has been rubbish. Couldn't bear to hear them now. What was that track "Protoss upgrade". Was ridiculous at the time.

I agree, never been that much into their music, but I remember them performing on Samothraki festival, and that was really a mad house during their set. Part of that is shown on dvd, but with different music playin'.

I was there as well (2001 and 2002) and the dancefloor was the most packed at their set in 2002. Anyhow, I did not like it. I mean I was in the dancefloor as well, high as a kite, but the music was not doing it for me.

They've made some great tracks over the years. "Do Androids Dream..." and "Dirty Harry" from their first albums for instance comes to mind.

I even liked some of the first 1200 Mics album, but haven't really liked much of their psytrance/full on material since then. On the other hand they've made some quite solid prog/techno crossover as Riktam and Bansi in later years.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Had a few more listen to the Goatranch mix, actually some nice stuff in there. It doesn't blow me away but I can definitely hear some quality work going on           Cuntus Maximus.

There was some exceptional stuff done in '98 by the likes of Sandman, Cosmosis, Astral Projection, Process & Hallucinogen for example that leaves GMS far behind.           Cuntus Maximus.

And IMO a lot of the 90's psychedelic trance & Goa still has much more innovation & IMO originality than most post milenium releases.           Cuntus Maximus.

Welcome. Most of the sets listed on the site are all very good.           Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons.

Bigtime and they never recovered.

Seeing them play in Japan outside on Mt Fuji when they were about 17 was a real highlight.
