1 I have nothing at all against GMS. Let them do their thing and move along. I still repect them.
2. C2C is a business organization. I dont know much about them, but looks to me like they take this party thingy pretty seriously.
3. Listen to the decor suggestions from Surrender.
4. Whats with these ORG -WAR'S ?????

I tried the Roxy. They have a gay night every Saturday. But again, what about Fridays at Spirit? |

Fridays at Spirit is very good. Saturdays too. Do it and I'll be there either night. Oh and not for $30-35 either. $20-25 and you do it more often.

Berzerx... Club Downtime doesn't belong to TDC, so it's a good venue to bring GMS to also.
Btw, now I realize who Ron is... Mr. R. if I'm correct is a nice person who will listen to our suggestions. I've dealt with him in the past through email.

if you guys tried Downtime that would be very good, I dont think TDC is using the veneu anymore and I think the style/vibe of your parties would be much better for Downtime. Spirit sucks(friday/saturday doesnt matter) this place is much more trancer-friendly, and I got kicked out the only time I was there , so you know I really mean it. But this is all implying that your interested in throwing PSY-TRANCE parties, in which case you wouldn't throw a party on the same day as another promoter.
We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. |

C2C - It's good to hear that at least you stared posting here on the forum and started to consider other venues proposed by people on this forum.
Fridays at Spirit is not that bad, it's not perfect, but I've enjoyed a number of parties over there (most of them were on Fridays)
But if you can get Roxy on Fridays, that would even be better. Haven't been there since the last Phantasm party, which btw was a blast, but the club is great. Not a lot of people go there nowdays, so we would practically have the place all to ourselves.
I completely boycotted Avalon, but will definately attend your parties in other, more appropriate venues.

on the west coast its 1015. 1015 It may not be ideal in our books either, but seems better than what you in NY are being forced to put up with. It gets a certain club element to it as well.
Instead of "guido's" its an abundance of Asian kids trying to show up everyone else on the dance floor.
However 1015 has undergone a transformation over the past year, and are trying to market themselves to more underground styles on many nights.
Plus being an independant club and not a chain like Avalon helps. Almost all US cities now have a Avalon and most specilaize in Hip-Hop and house.
The 1015 parties are always well deco'd (just read the post) and always have numerous local dj's playing that fit the night
C2C has a hand in these as well (maybe only from a booking standpoint) but take a clue from whats being done at other venues you use, and apply it elsewhere

I would like to add my vote for Spirit on fridays. Roxy is a cool place, but if not a lot of people are going there these days, i don't know if it would be financially do-able to bring a "big-name" artist there.

Do GMS still make psychedelic music? What I heard from them in the last couple of years did not del my psyche at all. Sounds like they are just repeating what seemed to work at a certain point in time.
I have absolutely nothing against Coast II Coast. If they believe in what they're doing then I think they should keep doing it and I wish them all the best.
It comes down to each of our own taste and preferences. So if you don't want to go to the party because Avalon sucks or because GMS has become boring arena-rock-trance, or whatever reason, just don't go. If you really want to see GMS and think you can hear them properly and enjoy at Avalon, have fun.

Its called Full-on Psytrance, its there style...
guitars in about 2002 where very adopted in trance (sun project, skazi, psycraft ect..) and almost always in full-on psytrance, mostly a morning live act and night progressive and psy psytrance.. full-on is nice energitic, good for dancing after the long short night |

I have been to alotttt of party from free partys to festivals, most true forest psytrance party seeing the country i live in now lets it happen... and have almost all the lives that come to my head of course not all....
and no way you can say that infected are not "a real psyheadliner" Other then trance pioneers they are trance geniuses.... |

it sounds like what happened in the NYC rave scene. the organizations/promoters used to help eachother, not schedule parties on the same night out of respect, etc. now the "scene" in NY has gone to complete crap. all the big promoters that were throwing the good events stopped.
