Guys, you probably haven't understood something regarding my posts.

Leave the ticket price per se aside; what I wanted to outline was the following:

One of the main excuses for raising the ticket price was the change of venue due to security reasons and the neighbours' complaints.

Well, what change of venue? And on top of that the music stopped at 12 at the Origin stage which was even worse than last year.

Simple as that.

Now you can perceive my posts any way you like.

I repeatedly said that the Glade was really great this year but compared to last year not as good for the aforementioned reasons.

As for Tom's post, well, I didn't see any billboards anywhere saying that the music would stop from 12 at the Origin stage. I don't know whether you knew about this Tom but I certainly didn't since not even the line-up was released prior to the festival.

Secondly, what about the change of venue which was the same as last year? Did you know about this before the festival? I only found out about this when they sent the emails with the location info. Personally I don't mind it was the same location, what I did mind was that although there were complaints about the sound last year, this resulted into the music being stopped even earlier this year.

So, tell me whether these should have been obvious to me before I bought the ticket???
Don't hope 2 much 4 something cause u may end up getting it...

they stopped the music at 12 but they made the liquid stage in a tent so you can bang your head until 4 with no complaints from neighbours.

what colin said i dont get, so they put the price up because the licence is more expensive for this amount of people, but if you have 12,000 which is almost 3 times more then last year you make 3 times the money no so there is no need to raise the price... 10 pounds raise in price on lets say 10,000 tickets that were sold, is a lot of money for improving security which were useless since there were about i estimate at least 500-1000 fence jumpers and on top of that brutal as people were thrown out from smoking joints.

In general i think they didnt advertise the lineup cause it didnt have big names as years before, not for any security reasons.

still i might go next year

If I remember correctly - the first years official capacity was 5000, last year was 8000, and this year I think it was 14,000 - though with crew "and stuff", I'm sure there were a *few* more in than that...

Shit, fuck, bastard, soapy tit wank.

Sorry. Slipped out.

Hey - I've got an idea.

How about everyone who managed to find fault in the best organised, most musically varied, brilliant and amazing festival I've ever been to, stay away next year, so that the rest of us can enjoy it without having to listen to you tossers whinging on about ten quid on the ticket price?

I mean, really. Are you sure your Glade experience wasn't diminished because you spent the whole weekend huddled in your tent, complaining about the chai being too sweet?

Be honest.

The internet is a fucking marvellous invention but it seems all anyone uses it for these days is downloading porn and bitching about festivals.

Well yeah I guess its value for money if youre getting paid for it.           Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day.

Well no, actually. Backstage this year was hell on Earth.

The Chateau Lafite Rothschild served was a vulgar and over-chilled '82 Cabernet Sauvignon, the foie gras was a rather common Périgord instead of the Québecois I specified in my rider, and the shuttle helicopters were running ten minutes late all weekend, causing us to miss the overture to Bizet's "Carmen" at the Arena di Verona - which we had been looking forward to for weeks.

Fairly spoiled my weekend I can tell you.

who's fault is that?
should we really be bitching about the festival?
or is a lot of this redundant commentary about stuff that should have been obvious before you bought the ticket??

... What the hell do u know Tom u live in New York now.!!! .... (nice to see you haven't forgoten your old trance buddies) ~

Glade was great fun.. ( you missed Stu in top form).. Expensive?... YES..... Good Music?.... YES (for the most part)...... Impressive?......... Dam the chillout was impressive this year! reallly good effort....
Will I go again? (yup.... it is after all 'Our' Boom/Sonica/Full Moon).... as it were......

Am I happy to pay for a ticket... NO! (but the way i see it... sometimes u pay 'over the odds' for a bag of 'goodies'... it pains you to pay so much.... but once you are 'up'.. it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the whole experience).... So... high ticket price = Bummer.... but doesn't stop me from enjoying the event!
