yeah agree but the overall sound can t be the same as if they were using juno,sh101,moogs,jupiter ect...to me right now many artists leads and synth line sound cheap . i can t belive they don(t invest in better equipments to help to define their produdction sound . the guys make it full time for a living and stick to sylenth and virus

Its a matter of taste. I agree with what you are saying, but...Lots of people actually prefer the digital sound over the analog...proof to that was that latest blind test on the production forum.
On the other hand you have massive techno producers that still use 303 acid lines in tracks and pay good cash to get a TB-303 cause they have grown fond of that sound, same with the Virus, Sylenth...etc people just love that sound and its fair enough...different strokes for different folks.

It got nothing to do with the equipment. But all to do with if you are capable of producing and mixing your sounds the right way. Here I mean programming a VST synth (yes they can be programmed too) adjusting EQ and using the right effects to get a sound that is just as good as any analog sound.

The problem is not the equipment but the fact that too many (caused by the easy access to making music) got very little studio experience and technical experience when it comes to making music.

to me it s full on 100%
what i don t like and got me tired of it there is like one good track out of 10, sound like the same remixs over and over, always the same kicks the same bassline, the same soundin synths that everyone use (sylenth and virus is probably used all over the place that just make me disliske that style even more)

An example of Fullon which really isn't my thing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ke0qmSILQy4#t=332s

Hope the link starts where it's supposed to, if not it's at 5.30.
That synthlead buildup is just soo boring and predictable, same goes for that snare roll at the end.

Yet still a lot of people are into that stuff as well.
One thing that I have been failing to notice, as I reached 35, is that a *lot* of people that go to parties, are very young and most of them got into this music by going to parties that play very cheesy full on. This kind of music is their idea of psychedelic trance and who can blame them? That is what they know, that is what they want to listen to.

This whole thing has been around for over 2 decades now, and so many people have gotten into this music in this long period of time, that makes this genre go all directions really and the styles that seem to be on top/trendy, are the ones that are easier to "understand" and styles of music that are shoved down people's throats by the "pushers"/promoters that dictate what kind of music people will listen to and how many times a month, by the artists they book.

i find equipment make it easier to get our own sound in term of production, it s not all but a part of it to me.

in that full on style some are there since the begining so really doubt it s lack of experience, nectarios say people just like that sound with virus sylenth.. to me it s more about workflow avantage not cause of the sound they went software.

as said before, equipement doesn't make the sound, only the man behind.
it's only people copying each other.
it's not that people like only that kind of sounds but lots of producers don't take any risk with other directions. it happens the same with progressive.
but it's not something new. much more than 10 years.
