Looks like things have changed since:-)
Progressive seems to have taken its place.

Also ironic that two of the pioneers of proggy psy were a couple of the last posters...both of whom went on to other more commercial (?) proggy house projects.
Yet at least two of the latest greatest (?) proggy psy producers are ex full on producers from Isreal...(major 7, vertical mode..)

Yup and although I am not a fan, I can honestly say that it is not as bad as the myriads of full on cheesy tunes, I have heard in the last decade.

lol it s from 2003 .. personally i mreally tired of full on.. how come we got 3 or 4 years of excpetional goa trance and 10 of average full on .. strange.
last hopes for me are dick trevor /burn in noise album..but i m really septical about this one after beeing disapointed over and over with fullon releases , that would be a suprise if i reallly enjoy it..
Nectarios lastest tunes are really great , a album i would buy it even wihout listening the sample, we need more tunes mate !

It is interesting to see how many artists have shifted from good full on to cheese galore, the prime example of this to me is Gataka, their first album around 2004 or 2005 was splendid, everything thereafter was below crap standard, I mean really shitty cheesy crappy badly produced out of ideas ... damn, I won't even call it music... SHAME ON THEM!!! And what pisses me even more off is that labels release the subsequent cheese, just because of their big names... so many labels seem to have ruined themselves just because of this policy... It seems to happen all to often that a producer/band comes out big and then loses all nice and good ideas and start producing cheese. And that is why am pretty much tired of most of the so called big psy artists... Same goes for GMS, for fucks sake, at least someone like Skazi stays true to his stuff, he is better imo than the two mentioned above...

yes agree..gataka is one from sesto sento i think? sesto sento was really good in the begining.. i remember seeing them live and really enjoy.. their trance was quiet intelligent with good progression .. then they moved to that over the limit cheesy crap..
but in defense to all these artists mentioned they can t make the same thing all their life

The music produced by the Fractal record artists is really good. This is defn not cheesy stuff..IMO.
Too many detuned saw leads for my liking In terms of Fullon, Sonic Species is what I like, but it's not very Fullon to be honest, more like Progressive turned up by some bpm's.

to me it s full on 100%
what i don t like and got me tired of it there is like one good track out of 10, sound like the same remixs over and over, always the same kicks the same bassline, the same soundin synths that everyone use (sylenth and virus is probably used all over the place that just make me disliske that style even more)

+1. Although its more about the way people program them synths, rather than the synths them selves. Then again an awful lot of people dig this sound, so fair play to anyone who likes and makes this kind of music.

yeah agree but the overall sound can t be the same as if they were using juno,sh101,moogs,jupiter ect.... i can t belive they don't invest in better equipments to help to define their produdction sound . the guys make it full time for a living and stick to sylenth and virus, imo it s a reason why they sound so similar

the only problem I see with full on is that you have to dig through a lot of shit to find the goods. IMO there seems to be less cheese in the more melodic/progressive sounds. If I want to hear some crazy in your face saw waves, I'll listen to dark psy.
