Well Said Luiz... I got into Psychedelic trance 2 years ago after the whole uplifting melodic "cybertrance" movement in SF... I have seen so many people complain about stuff being too minimal or too many people doing the Full On Melodic Alien Project/New GMS thing... I for one am incredibly glad that there is such a multitude of different sounds for people to bitch about too many people making on particular sound. Some people actually like those uplifting breakdown and anthematic melodies. And to those people, I'm glad that they could find a subgenre inside the umbrella of psytrance so that they could be on the dancefloor with the rest of us freaks. I am glad the minimal techno fans can relate to a couple of trance artists. So as to there's too much of any sound, if you don't like what's being made currently, look for other artists, listen to your old stuff, or MAKE YOUR OWN!! When it comes to throwing parties, I am a firm beleiver that if you are going to have a room that has psytrance in there the entire course of the event, make sure that the room can accurately represent the genre. It does happen that there will be like 8 full on djs, who somehow will inevitably play the same track at least once...Now you take that same number of 8 djs and divide it up kinda maybe like this:

2 psytech/progressive
2 Full On Melodic
2 Full On Dark Nasty
1 Old School Goa
1 that can bridge any of those styles together...

Then maybe the sounds are well represented... but of course there's always the variable that you will find the two djs sound alike anyway... What'cha gonna do??

The fact of the matter is no matter what, the artists that are making their music are indeed making music from their hearts. Whether their hearts and wallets are the same is indeterminable, but one should rejoice in the fact that maybe the reason why there are more people making music is because they finally caught what the first trance producers caught when they make music... The fact of the matter is, if you are in music for the money, you'd be making pop music.
So what if lots of other people like the music? At least the music is still being made.... it could be worse... Goa could've not evolved after 1994 and we'd all be listening to something else...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

but sonic tonic isn't the regular full on, it's very dark and very psychedelic... it's not an album that concentrates only on the bassline.           u can find "Anything U Want" using the search...

I too think it's great that more people have access to making music but I also think it's taken a bit overhand these days. I understand that people love the music passionately but that does not mean that they have to make music. As I always say. We cant all be painters

better for people to make music than sit in front of the television eating hamburgers. and, i doubt, that if someone wants to start making music for money only, that he is going to start in the psytrance genre. no bread and water here

Yes. I had to listen 10 times to this album to realize that.           -=The Meaning Of Life Is To Give Life A Meaning=

man... artists choose to produce full on by choice... if they produce it they probably do like it... psy artists know that the chances that they'll become rich from producing are slim... so most of them produce whatever they want to produce... the good ones dont even listen to what their labels want
