I really afraid that one day there will not be tech trance, psy or progressive any more.
It Sims like more and more artist are switching to Full on 2day (HUJABOY- SONIC TONIC).
I think that artists know that if they will create full on tracks they will be booked more often and will get more MONEY....
The Trance is drifting to the mainstream
Commercialism...I don't like it at all.

these things come and go..
just last year people were bitcing about everybody releasing minimal/progressive albums.. if you ask me today's trend is far better
please let it be psytrance next year =)

nirvana = good quality? LOL and i agree, we had the same thing with prog/minimal, but imo i considered it as a little more spicy than its now
i agree, thingz come and go...there is, was and will always be enough good music for everyone.
commercialism = bad quality? what i always thought ppl call commercial (yahel, astrix, gms etc.) is top notch quality

i think that a good definition of "commercial" is when an artist deliberately aims for the most common denominator. meaning that he consciously makes his art to be easily (<--this is very important) "enjoyed" by as many people as possible. the end result is usually very bad (for me). i dont think that the doors tried to be commercial they were just damn amazing and thats why they succeeded so much. not everything that succeeds is commercial and not all commercial art succeeds.
however i do think that the trance scene suffers from a bit of commercializm. because being commecial (and succeeding in that) usually means more money....
to enjoy non commercial music usually means that the listener should put a bit of effort in his listening experience. so if u dig deep enough and you open your ears and find some courage in yourself to explore new and brave music you'll always find some quality stuff as a listener. try to look beyond the commercial fog because there are plenty of electronic "jewels" out there

have u actually heard it? its brilliant and definately not "commercial" i agree with traveller... trends come and go, i for one always like the full on type stuff more then progg so i cant complain.
