atleast here in finland people have the freedom to chose what ever religion they want to..
part of freedom of religion is to practice ones religion..
so why not find a new religion.. call it "tranceology" or what ever..
call psyparties very important part of your new religion.. something like tranceology gathering..
then the cops can't bust your gatherings cos they are protected under the freedom of religion law..
would it really be that different to say christian gatherings? not really.. they do play music @ churh too..
hell it could work..
you'll need certain amoun of members before your religion gets goverments aproval though..

This might work in Finland, where the law is the religion...
but in other places on Earth I dont think it would work, although it is indeed one of the more brilliant ideas I've encountered (and it wasn't by you, I heard this many years ago when people actualy tried it as an excuse in Israel - didn't really work.).

I have a friend who returned to religion in the last years and he calls the Dance culture an alternative religion with Pagan roots where the Shaman is substituted by the DJ and the prayer is replaced with the dance and the music.
And he also promises me that if i won't change my ways i'll go to hell
Yea, i prefer to go to hell and meet the cool guys: Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Elvis.
Or do you prefer to go to Heaven and to spent time with the Bee Gees?

BTW i heard that in UK the Star Wars religion is already registered as known institute.

well,this religion exists already and its called ''Technoshamanism''...
its the religion of freedom of thought,where even the atheists are welcome...
there are no rules and confinements and each one of us carries his own beliefs and thoughts...
although there are some certain 'lines', we move on...

as i said in the begginig ,the important thing is everyone to carry his own ideas and beliefs,we must read about philosophies and religions of all the people and take each one of us,what thinks its the best for him-her,also,listen to the music the past generations made,hippies,punks,dark wave(my favourite),all the underground movements,because its the same Spirits and Powers that made that music,its only the evolution of technology that gave us the electronic sound...and ofcourse other Arts like litterature and Paintings are the same important for our personal evolution
to finish ,i want to say that the 'evil empire' produces and manufactures chemical drugs ,to sell,and to kill,because they know the Power that We have...

Ecstatic dancing was a feature of all paganism....be it native American or Celtic or Hindu. Chillums et al r still used by Shaivite sadhus and yogis even today .
Trance as GoaGil says, is nothing but this pagan heritage redefined.
All paganism was implicitly non-institutiional....and psy trance is after all, very much abt de-instituionalization, de-structuring , uniion with cosmic consciousness etc...

They are doing it in the US where raving is a crime. But as there's a law that allows any religious ceremony, so I heard of one case where a trance rave was promoted as a religious ceremony.
Hey... maybe we should do it in Israel too? Say we're a neo orthodox group or something... lol

Not that easy to actually register as a church (religious institution) in the US - tons of paperwork, and they actually investigate you, I hear. never heard of a trance party promoted as an official religious ceremony.
now on the other hand if you wanted to open a College of Trance and Wilderness survival... where a trance party is a legitimate course.. and sell memberships/registration to the college.. nobody without a presale membership would be able to enter without a search warrant.

Religion just cause wars, egotripping and powerstruggles.
Individuality and uniqueness is much to be prefered than a bunch of people jumping around in the name of "trance" ;-)
