yes I too. Miss the old good psychedelic goa most definetly.
I like a lot of the modern tunes too, also lots of dark too, but the best are when producers were also musicians and formula breakers and not only designers of the present.

^^^^^^^
nice catch.

I guess it is hard to be original when pumping out so much. I have given up trying to listen to all the music coming out since there is so much and not much I like anymore. I am probably missing some good stuff.

ahem... its actually the other way around

subaru's logo IS the pleiadies (7 sisters), and pleiadians well... the name is exactly from there too, nothing to do with subaru

about the 2 other tracks that were posted here - i really came to listen to them unbiased, but i find them utterly boring, nothing interesting is going on - so yes they are very well produced, and have a certain drive - but this drive gets boring exactly after 2 minutes... maybe if there was a little more variation in the bassline or something to accompany the drive, but for me there isnt and the track lacks atmosphere to make the drive suffice and do the trick alone.

regarding the remix of triptonite - this is exactly what i really dont like about the current etnica/pleiadians sound, to me it sound like boring generic full on, and to be honest, ruins the original track for me - something which i despise... now there are GOOD full on remixes of classic tracks, but this one? the good thing i can say about it is that they havent created a cheesy fullon version like some of the other fullon remixes.

but hey those are just my opinions

^ Subaru means Pleiades in Japanese and their logo is copyrighted, and someone did use the Subaru logo on that crappy graphics which is a violation of trademark. But its just funny , I dont mean to make a big deal out of it , we're here for the music

I am not even saying it's a bad tune, all I am saying is: Do something new, this has been done over and over and over...

Why? Does making music involve an explicit term that you need to make something new or groundbreaking with every new release? What about making the music you like without caring if its new or not, and what about the people that listen to this music and have heard the "new" stuff, yet don't like it?
There's a niche subgenre on neo-goa or whatever they call it, that is a strong statement that people do tend to re-create the sounds they loved, without caring if its new or not.
Yes psy-trance involves people pushing sound design to new territories and Etnica have pushed sound in the past to new territory, if you followed their output over the 15something years, you can tell.
You can't deny they have their own style and they have that something that makes simple things, sound real good.
And these tunes definitely don't sound like they were made by anybody, not because there are complex layers, mad FM effects or anything very *impressive*. They have simple idea without the bells and whistles that a lot of people add, in order to sound "new"...Its just a really well made track that (in my case at least) makes 8 and a half minutes go by very fast.
The vibe of the tune is psychedelic, something I cannot say for an awful lot of the new stuff that comes out.

Peace out.

Because this sound feels like they did not do as well as they could, it's not gripping me at all. It does not have that "awesome" feel, that I can feel when someone puts their soul into their music. To me it feels like an empty repetition of what once was, without a soul in it... The tracks from Etnica you put on here, you can't tell me they would get the same feedback if the name in front of it wasn't Etnica. You guys are hyping the name.
I have listened to Goa music since 1986, so yes , I have listened to Etnica tunes, when they first came out. And they were better than this. By a whole lot...
I like some of the old stuff, even some of the real old (Detroit)stuff, that was around before most of you listened to this kind of music, but this is NOT it. Not even close, sorry!

That said, the name Pleiadians rings a definite bell, hopefully they kick some more ass then  Etnica . And I don't mean with fx, I mean with heart, EMOTION !!! It was really big to write tracks with emotion until sometime in the 2000s...

I find lots of emotion in their music, especially when new music is a load of effects and drones, silly unison/hypersaw cheese leads, or a wall of incoherent glitches...guess its just down to taste. There is no hype. They simply get the recognition a 15+ year project that did not go down the commercial drain, gets.
Simple riffs that resonate (or not in your case) but I really like what they do. Its not a new "wow haven't heard this before" sound, its good ol' fashioned psy-trance, the stuff I've grown to love throughout the years.

Peace out.

It is possible !
Here is an example how to make music that was old into something new and FRESH with Soul and real power in it !!!

Oh and by the way, they have been around longer than Etnica, so happy... hyping...

This song is really old btw.

Ok, not a bad track that gets ruined by the cheesy risers and cut rolls + the lead that comes in the breakdown is corny, but its a lot better than a lot of things that get released nowdays as well.
Is this enough to agree that we simply have different tastes and that different people like different things?
Arguing about it is pointless.

And who has been around longer than Etnica, Atomic Pulse?
As for Sun Project, although "Computer Breath" is one of my all time favourite tracks and as simple as it sounds, it still sounds fresh to me, I can't stand the guitars they put in their tracks...again a matter of taste.

Peace.

You cannot be serious man, you really want me to list them all? Yes, there are lots !!!
Those guitars were pretty big in the 90ies... agreed to the cheesy risers, but other than those, you have an epic FULL POWER track here, not the kind of music for living rooms... that you showed me with your Etnica stuff!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

Oh, I thought you meant Atomic Pulse and/or Sun Project being around longer than Etnica by posting that youtube clip. I didn't mean list them all by no means!
Its not full power to me tho, there are some elements that ruin the vibe, which is not the case with the Etnica stuff, which is not mine...I wish. Anyway if Etnica is living room music, I'll just get me pipe & slippers and enjoy my self

Peace out.
