I think i will not pay for a cd unless i like at least 6 out of 9 tracks. this is a personal opinion. please dont pounce on me bloodclot 
digital downloads (wavmp3flac whatever)
is the way of the future. People should have the choice to buy the tracks they like.
the trick would be to get them to buy and not just download for free.
How to add value hmmmm?

Bhangra is a possibility indeed   As for liking 6/9 tracks in a CD, this is VERY difficult these days, in 2007 alone i can name MAX 7-8 CDs that had 6 or more impressive tracks on them. 7-8 CDs out of atleast 70-80 releases even is a pathetic rate. Labels & listeners alike are willing to settle for less these days in terms of the music & quality which sucks balls because this is how several new mediocre producers are hyped beyond belief & released on innumerable small compilations eventually leading to market flooding. This off course leaves even those few buyers befuddled because there are so many releases without any quality control, that one doesn't know what to buy  It also kind of overshadows the 'real' talent because the real talent is so rare in this genre. A lot of artists out there are nothing more than random experimenters. There is a difference between being an experimenter and being a real musician. Those who deserve the attention don't end up getting as much as they ought to. Very subjective i know but its true.
The only way one can add value to digital downloads is by either making prices plummet or letting the music do the talking through its quality : ) I support the latter

make cd's available in music shops (moderately priced, those online shops are a fucking ripoff) and create awareness through sensible promotion/advertising which can do wonders for the psytrance industry. there are loads of people enjoying electronic music these days.

You're right! Few days back, I gave some Menog, Oforia and Astral Projection albums to a friend who never heard psy in the past. And, he thinks i have a great choice of music and he's started loving it in less than a week. |

you can buy the tracks you like after you listen to them
if you have access to music that costs you 70 bucks for a track And you choose your tracks ..listen to them 100 times before on the site ( they let you), there's no excuse for downloading for free
+ the quality is way way good compared to what we download for free
just bought 2 tracks.

free downloading is nt wat i spprt..(yes i m one of u nd download stff free) bt i still believe there has to have some money involve fr downloading psy tracks ...so artist get rewarded for his work
and when we talk abt promotion we can always promote through short tracks (teasers of 30sec or 60 sec tracks)
so it seems to me win win situation fr every one

Lets all do it this way instead of just writing. Choose your favorite online music store, order any one of your favorite psytrance CD today and post the order number in this thread. I did order one just now from Shaman Films, as the price was quite tempting.
Will post the order number after I get a few +ve responses for this!
