if you are born you are guranteed to die
accept death and respect it, die now die later but eventually die...what trance world are you guys in...fear of death...everyone dies at some point, you die by a hurricane you die in bomb blast, you die in your sleep you die in a hospital...nobody knows what happens after that...either you come back or dont, if you do good if you dont tough luck...celebrate death...why suffer when you are alive...suffer when you are dead anyways we dont know what happens
When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive |

What you say about death is spot on. However, this is about a love for nature and our planet rather than about a fear of death. Death is inevitable no doubt, that doesn't mean we trash the place up and do exactly how we please with it, thats just selfish.

There is one key word in my outlook for the world that we belong to: DECENT SURVIVAL! You have no idea how much this means to me, everyone to have the chance to survive for as long period of time as possible because our function on earth is to adapt, survive and then die. In this we are all equal therefore no one should enjoy a greater chance of surviving on somebody else's cost. Marriage, providing food, sex, children, architecture, art...are all components of survival. We have developed TOO fast so that the components of survival have become confused with unnecessary objects or feelings that are not determining factors for one human being to remain alive.
If you live in a densely populated area you probably need to rely on driving or knowing the public transportation system in order to get around. The reality is that in many large cities across the world many, many people only know so much as how to get home and where to buy food and go shopping. Many people can't drive for shit. Many people don't know the streets in their environment. Many people would get lost on the subway or the bus if they had to go someplace unfamiliar in the spur of the moment so as they are not given enough time to research. And sadly, many people don't go anywhere but simply stay home so their knowledge of what SURVIVAL means is limited and the purview of their country and let along the world or the universe, is often distorted.
All this means that we have become unfit to live in this world the way it is because we can't utilize nature and the surroundings to our benefit properly and more efficiently.
On the other hand, let's take some tribal societies and see how they are dealing with survival. In normal circumstances, meaning no abrupt and uncustomary droughts or heavy rains for a month at a time, humans can utilize nature to the fullest extent without hurting it and by the way, benefiting from it in ways that guarantees longer life. In some African tribe that lives in very dry land where even the animals are leaving during one period, people have learned how to accumulate water from roots and plants. A westerner would die there in few days.
holy crap i went nuts here
so the bottom line is doughcherry is obsessed with death and has developed peculiar ways of interpreting this phenomena and life on this planet in general. YOu can celebrate death as much as you want while you are feeling rather safe behind that monitor, drinking something and snacking on whatever. were you magically placed in some undesirable place you'll see that death can't be celebrated in your ways of thinking by people who haven't had the chance for a decent survival. It's OK to live in whatever circumstances but as long as you are not in a position where you are too weak to even try to feed yourself.
This is too broad for a forum so peace out

Let us talk freely...
There is no insulting.
What's the point if we can't get a little bit deeper into the meanings?
I find your threat unfair...

This is a perfectly normal and serious topic of discussion. Could you elaborate, what made you delete those few posts? |

you do no one a favor by saving them
if someone wants to die let them
dont force them live because you like to see that you are suffering less than them...legalize euthanasia...
the whole evangelizing of the world is bound to failure and cause conflict...people will never be equal some will be better than others and others will be worse than some...Equality is a human myth...there is no fixed number of years to live..numbers are not life...you do things to make you feel good first..if you dont feel good you cant make others feel good...if you are compelled to do something and u push that compulsion "save the earth" ...screw that i'd rather be "saved by earth"

i think a greater critique is simply:
its not nice to say "the earth dies for me when i die from it" its selfish and shortsighted. its like saying "screw you guys- when i get out of here i dont need you..." to the rest of us...
oh yeah just fuck all the generations of people who lived before us- even the parents who brought us life, yeah screw the kids, the next generation, yeah fuck them all... who needs them... just look out for number 1 (myself) right...
the problem is that this mentality is prevalent among many on planet earth... its all for me to use...
how egotistical and annoying for fellow humans... but it is also not true.
no human can survive in a vacuum.
we are also largely social animals.
we need others. how do you eat even?
and this is only considering fellow humans. imagine our survival chances in the long term versus various bacteria/virii etc... imagine our competitors- sure we kicked the other large mammals asses, but what about the insects who outweigh us 5 to 1
my advice is don't piss off the earthlings and think you dont need them.
you may need them. and if you are mean to them you can forget about getting any help...
about ecology its simple
dont shit where you eat.
-
all our systems have priorities.
before the advent of mechanized cheapness economy was often synonymous with ecology.
today it is about ecology- our contextual existence....
doughcherry you might as well say you dont want to live as to say you dont care about earth. earth and life in a body as a human seem to go together... and unless you like wallowing in your own shit its time we stopped thinking there was an "away" to throw something...
--
about the waste and injustice our archaic and outdated "systems" produce i shall not comment but they must adjust or be gone as is the way of things... if humans dont survive because of cultural inflexibility thats pretty silly i'd say...
---
about what trance is doing to save the world- peace through music. yeah right. maybe...
but in any case its another perfectly viable cultural option and lifestyle choice and i have seen thats its aesthetic allows for the development of efficiency- and finally de-emphasizes the material aspect of life in favor of the experience of it...
thats good in my book.
there is also good training for cooperation and working with a group in making trance parties etc...
the ability to think for the good of the whole makes one a good member of society and helps to be a good person. being a good person doesn't just mean doing what other people tell you to do, but means really thinking of what is truly ultimately of the highest good for all and seeing ones part to play in helping this happen... |

you shit what you eat
you piss what you drink
it all goes where it comes from
the problem with SAVING, its not a natural phenomenon, we are saving artificially, by not buying one thing but none the less buying another, by getting rid of "old" stuff and bringing in the new, its quite a paradox, replacement of systems causes damage too...its just another cause with which people want to get attached to and get their 15 mins of fame. face it human beings are too weak for nature...while everyone goes crazy on the global warming band wagon, a earthquake strikes china, a flood sweeps burma, a hurricane hits some texas...you think humans can stop those things, its climate, humans can never control it..stop building sandcastles you know the sea will swallow at or the wind will bring it down

Maybe it's better to keep all that carbon in plastics. Would you rather have it in the atmosphere? "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

@psytracked: this is what i meant when i said collective consciousness can make a lot of difference.
As Ocelot said the problem is that most people posses this mentality & as the number is drastically more than those who think other way round i.e. positive about saving the planet & doing something about it.
So if we collectively start just thinking about it, would definitely make some diff |
