either ways there is a frequency jam...i dont want to live a life of fear, paranoia...run run the sky is falling, take cover protect yourself the land is falling...i dont want some polticos giving me protection...nature will take care of me...we think by changing ourselves we can alter the course of nature...Nature is telling you to change...you are changing for nature sake, nature wont change for you, nature will be nature...full of chaos and disturbance at one moment at the next peaceful and tranquil...these are the emotions of nature, let it express, generations of suppressed heat is coming out, it releasing, its freeing itself from the wrath of man & god...nature will heal...if you really care about the Earth...commit mass suicides,

If things could just stay on a positive level, and anybody could contribute instead of defending egos, who is right?
Doesnt matter can we make a better world?

@doughcherry: How is 'to care' the same as 'to fear'? If someone u know were to suffer from diabetes for instance, wouldnt you encourage him to watch how much sugar he consumes? Would it be fearful of him to do so? or would you say death is inevitable and u shudnt be bothered? Fine line between being fearless and being stupid.            To FiNd YouRsELf YoU GoTTa LoSe YouRsELf FirSt!

you do realise that the bastardisation of English began way back around the 10th century when it was first brought to Britain by the Germans and since then it has been constantly evolving. Now STFU please.

simple question how scared was everyone about Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear war...now that same nuclear technology powers your home..your fear got minimized...how did that happen you think its safe to use uranium to power your home??? but now the "leaders" have convinced (deceived) you into thinking its safe to have electricity from nuclear...and the doomsayers of nuclear have shut up...the same group have found another doomsday cause...climate change, global warming...scare the shit out the people and control them keep them in fear...let their minds be occupied by fear and then take control of the resources again...people are getting to powerful and are capable of living without their interference...dont you see its the same pattern....scare them fear them and then pretend to take care of them and they will think you are great benovalent god, dont be blinded by "care"...care leads to protection which leads to defense that in turn leads conflict and conflict gives rise to war...Buddha never said no to self defense, he told you to be alert and not be complacent, the art of zen...the monks are aware of this, go see the weapons Dalai Lama still posesses...hes aware he can understand the concepts of an attack from behind, he has chosen not use violence but words instead...think before talk about care and love, they can be destructive...how many jealous lovers have killed someone they love...buddha basically fought his battles in his mind...if you go see the images he had during his long meditation u will see they are full of violence, he visioned that and expected that...

There is no doubt that the earth is changing...there is no doubt it would even if we were not here....there is also no doubt that we, by being here, became major agents of this change. Unfortunatly for us all, man grew apart from this planet long, long time ago and lives in this paralell dimension completly unaware of its ground:the earth...and so our role as agents of the chage is actually not even good for us

And there is not much we can do as the big majoraty of us (in the western democratic free trading world and the rest of the aspiring countries) are slaves to the idea of personnal confort and safety we were given...to the concept were success and achievement is something personnal!!!!

How many of us is really willing to do something, to really change? Because i kinda understand the words of frustation of DougCherry....

I think that internet can help us in a way to join forces about earth issues:

There are sites and forums like "care2" where you can sign many petitions about things that we want to change or things that need to be done.
When some thousands signs are gathered they maile them to the governments and they force them to do what the signed petitions say.

Power to the unity , power to the freedom of expression and power to the people!!!!

We control our destiny even if we don't know it...
Everything is a matter of choice.
Choices are made with actions and not only words...

It was nice to read your posts over my morning cuppa (dough/ellon/jedi).

I agree with doughcherry to an extent....but I don't think it is quite that black and white. There certainly does seem to be an effective formula, for controlling the masses, in place. I think for some who see things in a similar light as you do, it isn't all about fear but maybe more of a sense of hopelessness.

I have come to think that the earth is always changing and history says that this has been so for quite sometime. I have often wondered what mother nature has in store to control man. The rest of the animal kingdom, well all life from what I can see, had lived in balance. Populations were controlled by supply and demand in the food chain in a relatively short time scale. Man it would seem has managed to break away from this system. If you look at the level of diseases of affluence in the western world, you could perhaps take the view that this is natures way of bringing back some balance. Global warming (hot subject) could this not be seen as a necessity to bring man back into line, the planet becomes less inhabitable so the population finally will fall? Dinosaurs, I am quite sure, were not wiped out by man. Another new problem faced by the west is fertility. This could, again, help bring the population down.

I am convinced to a point that the balance of life on this planet is now quite off centre. How did we get here? Mans greed? Capitalism? Industrialisation?

Marx was off with his predictions of capitalism's downfall. I don't think he fully envisioned technology and globalisation, perhaps then he would have allowed for another 200 years. History again suggests that our current system is likely to be replaced at some stage in the future. I personally don't see this happening in my lifetime.

Wouldn't it be ironic if global warming is natures way. ...and that the changes that come to the planet, as a result, help usher in a new way, a better way. Could we be trying to prolong the inevitable?

Jedi_knight I respect your positive pro-active post. My only difficulty I have is that I see much division, not unity.......and thats just here on this forum!!

Peace be with all of you

It's good to get a proper dialect going

bro ur absoultly right bout the fear psychosis theroy but where ur getting wrong is it's we who are acccpeting the climate is changing & we sud do sumthing bout it, where as the ppl who are in power & who are benifiting from the Industralization & globalization of the world are being too ignorant bout (Example :- Oil Diplomacy & many other things like that)
they dont want to change the world order coz they themselves are heavily invested in the most polluting industries of the world
the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!!

there is also a theory that the earth is moving closer to the sun and ultimately is going to be sucked in to the sun. Orbital Variance theory. the problem of guilt is was is the problem, if humans start to feel guilty, they become subserviant, things happen, things will happen, let go of the guilt factor it will pull u down...the difference you make is that you feel good, happy, if you are going to make a difference and feel guilty and sacrifise your fun and joy over it, you destroying yourself...in space its each planet for itself, each star on its own...We all come from the sun and go back to it, sun is hot very hot, mars is going there first, mercury is almost there...when earths turn comes it comes...everything comes from and goes back to chaos           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

Wild theories are fine to contemplate but don't let that distract you from being aware of the obvious.

Like who the hell wants to breathe grey air that can cause respiratory disease? or drink slimy foamy disgusting grey water filled with harmful toxins? Or does anybody want to eat contaminated food full of nasty chemicals?

Like who are we kidding? IT'S A NO BRAINER.

All that shit is happening everywhere already, and getting out of control fast. Only a freaking moron would like things to continue on this path. The fear is only natural, just like watching a car headed towards you. The message is: Get the fuck out of the way!

So yeah, there may be division at some level but when the shit hits you directly on the face we are all basically the same. It's easy to talk philosophy while the shit hasn't hit you directly, but when it does the wild theories will become very basic.

The bottom line is nobody wants to live in a polluted dumpster. The rest is denial, excuses, hypocrisy, simply BS.

Sorry if I have offended anybody with my stance. But I honestly feel that the grace period for wanking in denial has been over for quite a while. Accepting a little responsibility for this planet is now overdue. Of course some people will never care and will blindly drive the bus over the cliff.

However that means that it’s up to us to step up to the plate.

I am totally serial!

In fact humanity is just around the corner of a big crisis.

Maybe some of you know we are already in a food shorcut, prices are going up 80% in just two years. But the worst is going to come. In the next years its expected GW will hit harvest around the globe cutting more the food supply. Famine is underway as never seen before. Even rich countries will suffer control over food market for rationalzing the food.

Maybe we get at a Malthusian catastrophe, is clear there is overpopulation and the earth is just going to bring some balance to human activities.
