because hippies do that. And what do hippies do besides that? They smoke pot and do nothing and probably pollute as much as a Chinese smelter.

And our community is not a bunch of old school hippies, i can tell you that. I know that by some standards we are supposed to be concerned with the environment, care about nature and do things in every day life which benefit us humans, animals, aliens and other freaks as a whole.

I would like to know if listening to psytrance and it being a significant part of your life, has made you think about living life as normally as possible with doing minimal damage to mother earth. So what do you do?

Interesting topic!

Trance culture & music (with osho too, on the way..) explained me that there is one truth and it has milion faces.
I got connected from the first moments i entered with the people, the courtesy, the smiles, the love, the spirit, the ideals (PLUR).

It's not realistic of course that all the world will start listening to trance. There are people who find the truth in belly-dancing and there are people who find metal to be their way, each one and his way and that's the beauty here, each way is special. Each one and his pose. Trance helped me to learn that we are all one-human, the truth is one. There are billions ways to reach it. Trance for me is kind of way of life, it's about respect every person, with no difference of race, age nor status.

With the trance i found big amount of flexibility in my personality, and got connected to myself and my way, and to many other good people and friends during the years from many countries, who walk this way with big hearts and souls!

Last thing and i'll take advantagethe the stage..
Thank you trance, thank you isratrance, thank you people.

There is much truth in this...!
But fear effectes better when everyone is on their own and not united...!

I am a total tree huger:

-I recycle piles of plastic, paper, glass and cans which are a result of the insane amount of garbage I produce everyday. Recycling makes me feel better about this ugly fact and also helps me forget the fact that most people in the world live in total poverty and can’t afford to use nearly as many of the dwindling precious earth resources as I use.

-When I go to starbucks I make sure to get organic and fair trade coffee (and of course I bring my own cup to avoid producing extra garbage). This leaves me with a nice warm feeling since for a moment I almost believe that I actually care about these lives of the poor farmers who grow the coffee in the third world. But in all honesty I am more concerned about getting my coffee in the morning. Regardless I think it’s great that a multinational corporation that makes billions out of an economic system designed to benefit the few at the expense of most is helping its customers feel better about themselves.

-I visit the forest to get in touch with nature. The peace I get from these places helps me be a better person, and care for the earth more. It also helps me numb the fact that I had to drive for 1 hr to get there, polluting quite a bit. My aim is to get a hybrid car one day, which would require many more resources spent on something 99.9% of the people in this world can’t get.

- Instead of spending money on CD’s, I steal the music by illegally downloading and use the money which I was going to spend on CD’s on an environmental cause such as purchasing tofu and quality organic veggies. This is so I stop eating so much fucking meat which I know totally pollutes the earth. So ideally I steal mostly from artists that eat too much meat, that way I can fool myself into thinking its ok. Yeah I may be “stealing” music from your infinite supply of digital copies of your music, but how about the piece of paradise you are stealing from this earth when you eat more meat than the earth can handle? Not to mention the life you are taking away unnecessarily. Remember I steal your profit but give it to the earth. If I steal enough I think I will even donate money to save the rainforest. So wherever there is good music and meat eating, I will be stealing it, to save the planet. This makes me feel like Robin Hood.

Lets see.. what else, what else…

-Oh yeah, when I find a spider in my room I gently take it outside in a box and release the poor creature alive in the garden instead of just killing it. This helps me deal with the fact that I am a piece of shit who will buy new clothes, new cds, expensive ganga, tickets to see stupid Hollywood movies, buy a new mp3 player, even a car, etc when everyday about 16,000 children die from hunger-related causes. So yeah I can only conclude that I am a piece of shit, but at least when I see a living creature in need such as the spider in my room directly in front of me, I am not completely dead and totally indifferent like I am to all the misery going on at this moment around the world.

Basically if you think of Inconvenient Truth as a documentary, Waterworld too should be considered as a documentary and Kevin Costner should be given a Nobel Peace Prize
The issue of Global Warming has evolved from hard science into hard politics and despite what you may have heard from the mainstream media, this science is far from conclusive.
The scientific community is divided on the issue as well...Global Warming(GW) vs. Global Cooling(GC).
GW has political support
GC has Galileo and Copernicus's support

Science vs Politics- Political Science???
Pluto is no longer considered a planet because it was "voted" out...
The logic of either your with us or your the enemy is purely political...The end of the world, famines, disasters etc are WMCs (Weapons of Mass Control)
More the paranoia more the control...its old school...see through the clutter

^I don't know what imaginary world or bubble you live in, maybe another planet? Because unless you are a baby sucking his finger nobody has to tell you that the environment is being fucked. This is OBVIOUS to anybody with eyes. I could see this since I was a kid with my own eyes: the poverty of the people living in unhealthy enviroments, pollution in the rivers and lakes, all the forests were being completely destroyed and replaced with cattle grazing fields, animals that were common in the past becoming extinct (like the jaguar or scarlet macaw which are magnificent animals). Every time I landed in the Mexico City (where I grew up) airport I could see a thick layer of grey redish air above the city, pretty disgusting. All these things were >obvious< to me since I was a kid, now I know that all that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Forget global warming if you want, the planet is still being fucked one way or another, and we depend on it.

Your theory of accept the chaos sounds like a lame excuse to wash your hands from any responsability in this or being in denial of obvious things which anybody can observe with their own eyes. You do not need documentaries to tell you what is going on, just look around you with your own eyes or travel a bit if you live in wonderland.

It's like watching a baby walking towards the highway full of speeding cars and not doing anything. Is that what you propose?

In fact there is paper on polical economy of global warming.

An there is not divided opinion on global warming, most scientist support the evidence, only a samll group take another aproach, which has also some very interesting hypothesis.

I think in the overall, all this GW speaking is good even if the humans didnt do it, because for the first time in history Humans are taking account of what they have been doing for a time. The first time fear is used in something really important.
