This is when psychedelic trance becomes the center of your life. Without feeling it, it invades your everyday life, you listen only to psychedelic trance, you dream about festivals, and you see things through your psychedelic eyes only (quoted from Magox). It starts affecting your personal life, you relationships with people, friends, parents. It disconnects you from reality, and you start living in your own bubble. It even affects your choices in life. People complain that you talk too much about it and that you’re completely into it. You think that psytrance is the best music on earth, and that nothing can beat it.
I was like this for many years… but slowly I grew out of it, and found my balance again. I still feel insulted if anyone criticizes psytrance, but I have learnt to keep my mind open, and leave room for other sides of life.

It has nothing to do with psychedelic trance IMO.
This is a procedure that most of the young people might go through with any generation of music that they adore.
The same story is happening with rock lovers, pop lovers and etc.
I don't call it "being narrow" minded. It's only the process that any young music lover might go through it and when you grow older and become more mature, you start seeing things differently and become more flexible cuz life makes you more flexible.
Im 30 now. Im still crazy about psytrance and I still work my ass off, just to save money and travel the world and go to festivals in different countries and continents
But I know that PSYTRANCE is the best FOR ME and for sure it's not the same for other people cuz simply people are different

I agree with you, I have a few friends that call any other music "commercial" and any other life style "mainstream". I've seen many people that overdid "mind expanding" substances only to become self centered twats.

its just a phase in our life,v got to let it go when the time comes.not totally but just shudnt drown in it.or else v'l b like 45 year old fruit cakes who still think they r college students and act like 1.

Exactly! This has got nothing to do with being narrow minded or broad minded. Appreciating various genres of music doesn't make anyone broadminded. It's all a personal choice or taste.

yes but unlike Pop and rock music, psychedelic trance brings more than just music, it becomes a state of mind, a lifestyle.

Some very valid points by sure_smoke_alot and psysnoopy, i guess one needs to be mumm about other people's choices rather then telling them "how illlogical pop music is"
i guess we should mind our own business and people should do vice-versa.

Psytrance has sort of made me narrow minded. It is true that I still feel this is the best music out there and I find it very difficult to get into other music the way I would get into good psytrance.
It's sort of sad in a way cos I like other music alot...I just find most of it ridiculously boring and cliched (just like most psytrance actually)
so psy trance is no different.
