i think psy-djs less use vynils than cds because there is more release cd than vynils, its easier to copy, to exchange, to share with friends...

a Vynil-DJ,a CD-DJ or a FuckingMP3-dj, for me it's similar... its just the equipment that's changing !!!

vinyl rox... way better than deeper than any mp3 or cd ever will be. the only reason trance-hippies don't use it, is this: because the trance-mafia only thinks of dollars and vinyls aren't produced anymore by full on-labels who just want to rip off and exploit little kiddies.

ps: asher learn english man!!!

"rip off and exploit little kiddies" ? ?

wow.. Those are some harsh words there.. I think its the opposite.. when you buy a CD, you get at least 4 extra tunes than if you buy a 12" for about 4 extra dollars.. here in canada, you can buy a vinyle containing 4 tracks for about 17$ CAN, and a CD can be purchased at about 22$'s.. So with the CD, you get more for you money as a consumer..

And i like the sound of CD better than vinyle too.. plus, you can master a CD IMO better than you can on a vinyle.. you always get too much bass on vinyle and you lose out on the mids... IMO..

Why? We're talking abotu vinyl, and fact is that vinyl sounds bad. Unless you consider crappy high freqs & all sort of clicks and crackles good.

Some of the world bestd djs think otherwise Mike. And they play in the world's best soundsystems... Who are you and why should we listen to you?
I still ear Vinil is going to die, It's been almost 10 years now, and the fact is, regarding to dance music, NOTHING sells more than vinil records. I wonder why...
Psy Trance is such a little market when compared to House & Techno you know?

Having both, cd and vinil at my studio, I have very few doubts regarding sound quality of both. The Cd sounds clearer i agree, but definitely not better.

this is crazy !!! the importance of djs !!!
are djs the new generation of god...as so many tracks say !!
first of all ther is a big difference between mixing goa and mixing others stuffs.
there is a big difference between mixing songs that are rich and evoluating for 7 to 15 minutes with many different parts and a story to tell, and mixing "songs" that are the same from beggining to the end and are finally only a collage of repettitive teck sound patterns....personally I fly high and dance alone in my living room on a good track of ticon or gus and get bored when listening to sah, digweed, carl kox and so on ...whatever best dj of the year they can be...with all my respect for them.

second:
the importance of dj is great in all teck style..not in trance...it should not be.
the technic of djeeing in goatrance is not so important...even if of course, it is better to be talented than not.
vinyl have a warmer sound, which is not so important in electronic music, but most of all vinyl will be able to listened to in lots of years which is not the case oc cd !!
like every time do not think you listen to cd because it is better !!!! you listen tto cd because it is better businees for sony and co !!!

mixing 3 minutes of a goa track is not good since our tracks are created to listen to for the whole story it contains.
the job of a goa dj(in my opinion) is to choose well the order of the tracks, to match his choice with the place and the people, to make people dance in the same time than he tells a story, to take the minds to another place, psyche -delic, and finally to be noticed as less as possible in the psyche story he's having...the exact contrary of others styles dj that are more important than the tracks they play, their technique is so important !!! my god fuck them all....poor guys that maybe are well payed but are not creative enough to make music so they mix other stuff and get the attention on their own abilities to scratch or cut and so on::: don't you think it's a litle ridiculous ?!
I have been to all kind of parties, all styles, all places, all vibes...at the end the inportant for me is just the quality of the goa tracks thhat are played..nothing else.
who care who is the dj, his label, his technic if he plays on nimyl or else !!!

goa trance has been mixed on audio tape, vinyl, dat, cd, minidisc mp3 etc...
I think the best is dat, of course it is not the best for the possibilities it gives to the dj but it is the best for the quality of sound which is for me the more inportant in goa.
I listenned and played only on dat and cd.
But at that time of dat at least the frequencies recorded directly form the studios to the dat tapes allowed to have the best quality and purity of frequencies you could have at that time, anywhere, just like a permanent live set all over the world!!
cd are flat !!
vinyl are good for jazz and classical music.
mp3 is just shit and I always avoid smeling things
minidisc is pooor, flat and no dynamic.
the less damaging is cd and dat.
