I guess the answer for me is a laptop and Final Scratch, then I could have a good sound qualitiy while mixing with records

It depends. If u record ur vinyls on hd it will be the same quality, but with mp3s and especially non-lose-less audio files(ogg, ape, wave) and cds ur quality will be very much better.            Signature

Never saw a DJ spinning a vinyl in a psytrance party or festival.

In fact, I never saw a psytrance vinyl in all my life.

the only psytrance vinyle i play in parties are the pre-releases that Boshke Beats has released.. Aeromode and No Alibi.

I have to admit that it is very rare that there are psy releases on vinyle.. Cd's are so much more appropriate for Dj's since you can fit more tracks for almost the same price           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! ppl what are you talking about? steril digital sound better than the natural analog? what a crap...
vinly mixing sound bad in clubs?!?! not on this planet for sure!

its harder to mix vinly, there is no digital pitch, and the stuff about not able to withstand hard conditions isn`t truth...

cd + dust + water in the air = disaster, saw it many times

vinily + dust + water in the air = 2 sec. of cleaning and its gonna play forever

for ppl. that enjoy having black material under there hands whan they mix they fav. psy could try to burn the cd tracks on vinly!there are vinly burners or better to say cutters

I have a little story about psy/vinyl.
4 yrs ago i bought a few releases from the Flying-rhino web site, and without checking- ordered a double lp psychedelic record aswell.
It sat in its cover for many months before i found a dj at a friends party scratching hip-hop records and convinced him to let me give it a spin.

It was a beautiful experience...
me a new comer to psy at the time and this hip-hop dj figuring our the innocent joy of beat mixing psy on vinyl.... hands on- full contact !!!
we must have played that record 20 times over that night, and afterwards i let him take it home...
as a souvenir of his first experience with psy.

I hope he still has it.

Well all the clicks and pops and scratches arent so great... but there is some inexplicable quality that something played off of vinyl has. It sounds more full in some way to me. Of course that could all be in my head because I have heard others say so. I really dont know.
There is definatly something cool about knowing that the actual sounds of the music are being MADE at the moment of playing, turning down the volume and holding my ear up to the needle and actually HEARING the music (any of you ever try that?).
It seems somehow that because of that there must be more spirit in vinyl.

well, its just as easy to copy vinyles to your HD as it is CD.. all you need is a Turntable, a mixer and proper softwear.. I sometimes rip my vinyles to CD so i can play them at psyparties (since they are turntableless), but i just can't get the sound quality to be as good as my other CD's...           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! Djs in other genres play vinyl because:
The buy records nor download from net or bring from "friends".
They know to mix.
They understand the difference between vinyl and CD sound warm.

EYB don't be arrogant.
