DJ`s who cant mix!

Yuli, i heard about a month ago in a party, and on that party he did 2 things that i didn't like...
1. His Beat-mixes were quite lame 4 a DJ with a name like his, the beats kept running away and on 1 mix he didnt even do it on the 16/32...
2. Almost all his set was GMS, which i happen 2 like their music, but it was like being in a GMS party without being able 2 c Crazy Banzi...
Hope i explaind y i dont like him...

AFAIK Yuli is NOT a big name dj,he is a very talented producer (imho on of the best in producers in the crapy psytrance scene) but i don`t think he sees himself as a dj.
and hope i explained i like him alot:)

You did explain quite well and I partly agree with you especially on the full on remark, anyways I think he knows how to beatmix... That's the least I can say... Though I cannot argue with what you heard.

2. I beatmix, and you haven't heard my sets too long to critisize ;-) though it's your legal right and duty

i being in a party thet juan vardera playing in zemach (wan i get there his the only 1 thet plat and the party is over...)
and YES he didn'T mix just play his track and wan the track over he play'd the next track....
oohhh yes and he dance one the stage like crezy!!
so.... if a big name like juan vardera play like this u dont wath 2 come 2 a party thet his playing...!!!

good dj...bad dj...what is a dj ?
some of us think that a dj...a good dj is the one that makes the best mixing and got the best music...others say that the good dj is the the one who know to 'feel' the pary...
of we compare the dj's act in a party...we'll have to travel back in time...to the days of our ancestors...the SHAMAN.
a good dj is like a shaman who feels the vibes and the amotions in the party and able to control and maneuver it with the music.
when it comes to the type of music the dj plays,so in other tech-house-prog-acid-hip hop music the mixing technique is very important,but in other styles ,such as goa-trance and especially non-electronic ,the art of mixing is deffenetly a side-mater and does not count for a good dj.....bad dj..... |

I think its been said before, but to put us into that trance state, a dj has to know how to mix. When i hear a bad mix im sent back to reality. |
