Israel is one of the biggest psy trance markets of the world but unfortunately its not easy to find decent and honest people to work with in this country.

Most distributors and record shop owners in Israel are a little bit problematic           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Wanted to raise a topic, and i see that it was raised already.
I find it really hard to find Psy in shops lately, and i mean shops like Tower Rec. in Opera and Tower Rec. in Azrieli. They seem to have mainly local releases (MDMA R.I.P. BNE and Hommega) and old cd's that gather dust.
What's up with that, really?
I tried to get intl. credit card last week but the bank declined my request.
So what options do i get?
Whom can we blame now?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

I can't see the logic in what you write here, care to explain why the distributors despite the scale of the scene in Israel don't like to work with the Israely distributors?
What the f#$k can be wrong with working with respectible companies such as Tower Records?
Or maybe there are too many links in the chain of commerce?
Can someone enlighten me and explain me how it works and why what was once an almost standalone department in Tower Records in Opera Towers, nowadays shares place in the stand with Tiesto compilations and crap like that?
Maybe this chain is too long?

guys... it was way too obvious that finding trance cd`s in israeli stores will be hard some day...

why some1 whould bring cd`s to israel when nobody is buying them?!
and btw: big cd stores simply stoped oredering psy releases... its just dusting up and taking place on the shelves...

its just a doomed situation to a "non consumer" croud.

start buying real plastik ppl!!!!!!!

maybe lables will understand that they are charging way too much for cd's.
you cant blame 17 year old kids for downloading music from the internet because they dont have 400 shekels for 5 cd's.
if labels were smart they would offer downloads through the internet , you will have to pay for them ofcourse and im sure that if they wouldnt charge too much money they will notice a rise in paying customers.
dont get me wrong, a bought cd is much better than burnt one and i have full respect for the artists but sometimes i just dont have the cash.

Well the problem is not the labels actually, most labels sell their cd's to the distributor for 5-6 euros the problem is the commercial chain like a user mentioned above. The label sells the cd 6 euros and the street price goes up to 13 euros on internet stores like psyshop and saikosounds and up to 20 euros in record stores

Well the problem with Israel is that most of the record stores and local distributors simply dont pay back the money they should.

I have heard stories from VERY SERIOUS labels and artists that sold up to 500-600 copies of their albums/compilations to Israel and they didnt got a single dollar out of the Israeli guys, not to mention some labels/distributors that closed down in Israel and owed thousands of dollars to various artists and labels all around the world. The psychedelic scene is small so if a distributor fucks up a label serious money then the label will probably close

Dont believe ofcourse that things in Europe are better, some of the major distribution companies owe to labels up to 20000 euros (i know specific cases) and just refuse to pay the labels.I have seen with my own eyes a label owner to send a mail to a distributor asking for his money and the distributor answered back saying 'Fuck you i am not paying you and if you dont like that go to the court and loose even more money on lawyers'.I mean the situation is fucking ridiculous all around.

The conclusion is that its not easy to find honest people to work with in the psychedelic industry and Israel is one of those countries that its even more difficult to find someone to work with.

Just to give you an example i havent yet found a distributor for the new Starsound Records compilation in Israel while we found distributors for every other country of the world from Usa to Japan and from Australia to Mexico           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Detox... do yourslef a favour and save your shipping money and a later headache...
dont get me wrong, i say this with a huge sadness but this is reality.

about moving it to "trance" section... i dont think it`ll do the work.
1st, coz im pretty sure that this problem is so big only here in israel (im talking about countries where the croud number is enormous and the sales are almost none)
2nd, ppl here just dont give a damn... most members here dont buy originals. (see unidentified section, and all the questions for artists contacts in djs/artists section... when we all know that all the info in printed on the sleeves)

the only thing that`s left to do is to buy originals by ourselves and to let ppl around us (friends, family etc etc..) know how deep we r in this shit.
im not saying now that we all should buy only originals, i admit that i also burn cd`s from friends... but buying 1, 2 or 3 cd`s per month can make a big change u know.

lets hope for good...
tho now it looks only like a wild dream
