Pat spun some full on at the beginning of his set and presto change-o-ed it into some groovy housey buttery techno-ey stuff. It was very groovy baby, very groovy. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I feel like there must have been other full-on DJs.           www.dants.net

Billy, Rafael, Space Tribe, Cosmosis, Karmakanik (sometimes), Mexican Trance Mafia, IM, I would name some others but I'm not sure what they play. But I'm pretty sure they were all full-on, though I would agree with the domination of darkpsy. (but as you predicted I happen to like it lol)

There was a couple people spinning Full-on on the Rata stage at times on Saturday while there was some proggy stuff happening on main stage also I believe.

Your effort to prepare for this show is totally appreciated and you did a great job,
Big respect to all the psy act that was there they save me from going insane,
But it was totally shameful that I had to hear them with 10% of the sound that was there.
I convinced some of my non trancers friends to come with me and enjoy psy trance festival and after this weekend they don’t want to hear about psytrance any more.

Well I'm glad you enjoyed SOME of the music. Why not spill the beans? Who ripped it best for you? IN the interest of positivity of course.. =D           www.dants.net

I enjoyed the music at this festival tremendously, especially transdriver, jellyheadz, parus... Could have been more toilets for the number of ppl and the showers ran out of water or were off at least when i tried them at 2 or 3 on sun. Some dissapointments as well my freinds brand new bike was stolen on Sat night (not the only one eitherapparently) from our campsite and I had some disrespectfull neighbors.

im so glad i missed this part of the festival, such bogus, i hope i nvr have to see something like this again at a festival.

another constructive criticism, its wonderful to have a positive notion to merge different genres of music into 1 large party, but have to keep in mind that u are also putting two different vibes and cultures together, and in this case it didnt mix well. its kinda like having a pop and hip hop concert at once. not a good idea.
outdoor psytrance festivals are very pure and spiritual to many people, so why not keep it that way? id rather go to a smaller festival with pure psytrance then to a larger one with many more different genres of music. as many have said on this thread, "keep it underground, keep it purely psychedelic"

oh snap son... that shiz was fo real tight yo. St8cyde represent. Dis owe cultcha ya heard.

seriously though I was so flabbergasted at the ignorance and lack of respect exhibited by these people that I have become obsessed with them. If some of you think the rogue sound systems in the field were bad THEY PARKED NEXT TO THE MAIN STAGE AND BLASTED DnB DURING OTHER PEOPLES SETS. I can't stop telling my friends about them. I just can't accept the fact that these people exist. I think my brain is going to explode

A friend of mine who knows the organizers decently said that one of the guys from St8cyde was friends with the promoters - my friend also has met them outside of events and said they are pretty much what they seem like on stage all the time. Seems like they might have been taking advantage of someone, because I doubt they would have let the things they were doing happen normally.

To an extent I was kind of wondering about having IM headline anyway, they are fairly cross genre these days, what with their psyhop and psyballads.

Really that terrible DnB was the only thing that was really shocking and against the grain - most of the other "hard" stuff stuck to the tent between the two stages, renegade I believe it was being called.

This is all well and good, but we don't want to sound too elitist here. You can keep it purely psychedelic and expand beyond psy trance easily. Let's not forget how much psychedelic music there is that isn't psy-trance. The idea of blending genres shouldn't be thrown out the window just yet. You just have to think about the people who go to the different groups shows, and think about how mature they are. They had the new deal playing through the pa on the main stage while they got ready for one of the bands and I got to thinking that they would have kicked ass to have been there.

There is so much psychedelic music out there, you just have to dig. Never stop digging.

Renegade sound systems should be a no brainer, it's just disrespectful of the artists that are performing. (During Ajja some ghetto kid told us about a party in the parking lot and would not quit trying to get us to go. HE said something to the effect of "this is beat, come with me" I said, "this is Ajja, I'm not moving. Bye")
In regards to people treating the land with respect, a few friendly signs up around the grounds asking to take care of the place could help. It would at least be a reminder to people who are out of their minds to not just trash the place. Even though it should be automatic.           www.dants.net

Oh yeah, also, I heard one of the stateside jump off (a building) people talking on the phone and actually said "one" instead of "bye" or "later" at the end of the conversation. I thought that was hilarious.           www.dants.net

Music can be as psychedelic as anything, but what really sets this scene in general apart from most other scenes are the ideals that we hold dear.

The observation I am making from the comments made here combined with my experiences attending some multigenre shows are that when the vibes of the communities clash, there will always be unhappy people on both ends and many will wonder why the endeavor was made. However, I've participated in and helped throw shows where it's multigenres and people come for all the right reasons... Not to sound agesist, but very few kids will understand why we are into what we are into, and it will take them some time to get to where a lot of us are at.

It's sad to see that this endeavor didn't work out the way it was intended, and as much as I enjoy drum and bass music, most of the crowd is what I really don't enjoy about it, and was the reason why I got hooked by psychedelic trance in the beginning anyway... I love to convert people to this type of music, and what better way to do it than at a multigenre show, but the vibe needs to be good all the way around and to be honest, not so many people understand that.
