Nice try the minimal side, BUT i think that doesn't work very well.

Some tracks the feeling of the grooves are fine... but some tracks like other user said before is more like to videogame tunes hehe.

Maybe it's the way to escape from people who had copied their music. Like thujon said before.

don't know... i'll listen more and more... but i can't feel the same thing of the 'D-Nox & Beckers' on this album.

by the way... good luck

legalize: yes im talking about this album!

as you can see not only me think that this album reminds me old video games!
-------------------------------------------------------------

im realy dont understand what achievement they did in this album!....and im listening to electro/ prog house/minimal
not from today!

stupid sounds that taken from albino default bank!....that realy reminds me gameboy games

there is no one good drums/percs part!

there is no..... even one musical creative moment!

hhhh....and what about those stupid male samples?.....

there is no connection between this album and psychedelic trance with all subgenres

sorry if i too much offensive......but im not listening to "names".....only to music!

Criticism is welcome, but let's try to avoid harsh words and instead make constructive criticism like mentioning and comparing with better releases on the same style. For example, I don't like the new Xerox and Illumination album (which everyone seems to love, including you Alias ), I heard it only once, but already think it's their worse album, and except for a couple of tracks it sounds to me similar to their previous work. But I won't go in their topic calling them copy & paste, that would be impolite...

Back to this album:
I didn't enjoy this D-Nox & Beckers album as much as most people here. Except for 2 or 3 more packed tracks the album sounds like there's something missing to me. Well, maybe it sounds like there's a lot missing, but other people seem to like it, so...

Another thing I didn't like is that it has only 60 minutes of music... They could have added a couple tracks, improving their debut. On the other side, this released can hardly be called a psytrance release, and even though a lot of people here has a diversified taste, it seems they're aiming mainly at people more into other genres.

As hard as it can be we must accept when artists decide to change, it's part of the game, and I think it's better than being always the same.
Respect!

Very good MUSIC as all the time.
Great work and concept, Christian.

No one wants to make the same music over and over. Get D-nox's current mix from his HP, it sounds more minimal techno but it still grooves.

Haha, look, all those criticism WILL come back to you just like many talented artists left this psychedelic scene already. Wonder where all open minded good ppl have gone to.

a really solid 'house' cd. Enjoy pretty much most tracks and even the vocals have a place on this cd!

Well I liked D-nox and Beckers project at their beggining but suddenly they came out of my taste because of loosing their creativity and making the same things in all their tracks. However the biggest part of progressive trance were (and still) trying to copy their "Switch" style without success,to bad that all this copy/paste stuff released and made me pissed off and stop listening prog. trance anymore.Back to the topic now!I've already heard some great dj sets of D-nox who started to play more minimal techno stuff and I thought that was a matter of time to create such kind of stuff too!Left Behind is great album with many techno elements.Tracks like Changes,Shanghigh,Left Behind and Step Out are breaking the rules and bring the start of a new era for D-nox and Beckers!
Summer 2007 soundtrack!Well come back to my music taste guys!
Cheers!

well i feel like they tried to copy the minimal techno vibe without really succeeding on it...their tracks sound too flat to me.
there's much better minimal out there at least for my appetite!

D-Nox & Beckers should be reviewesd as house music. This is not psychedelic, therefor this is not psychedelic trance. I believe this entire thread should be marked offtopic and locked because of irrelevance to our scene, and I believe (/hope) the artists would agree to this. Seriously, listen to house if you're rabid fanboys. This is not the place.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

This post might have been valid a few years ago.Today it just looks closed-minded and dated
(no offence kaz,talking IMHO here).
These days this kind of music is being played at almost each psytrance festival at one point or another. Many ppl find it psychedelic indeed.are they all wrong ?
Granted, most tracks here live in the mininal techno world,or "house" as u called it. But lots of other influences are abound -the result is very good in my ears, and certanly belongs in this forum. Heck im sure one can find more psychedelia in this album more than in tons of other "proper" fullon psychedelic releases nowdays.

My album of the year,so far
