But anyway surely pioneer is going to update 800 and 1000, since their competition has realesed good decks on the lat couple of years (check denon 3700, 5500, numark icdx, cdx...).

i hope they update the 800's so i could also say they are great....
I just played with them last weekend and it really sucked donkeyballs

they should put a jog adjust on it....the feel of pitchbending is totally wrong for me, which doesn't mean other people would do well with these machines. for the rest they ain't better or worse then other pioneer decks           Ain-Soph (Trancebum Productions / Freakdance Records)

If you are a true DJ, try to feel comfortable with equipment offered at the party Some time ago i came on a party to play.. there were DENONs ( 3000 i think ) huh... somethign went wrong with them, so i saw some cheap Numark double head cd players... i have played on them 2 hours and a half judge me..i did a good job nevermind the equipment there

Here is the thing. First i dont work as a dj, just enthuasiast.

Sometime ago I bought two cdj-200 and one crappy mixer to pratice and learning how to mix trance. But time passed, I didnt use it too much, cause i am more focused on learning production. So i m thinkin in sellin my pair of cdj`s and my mixer (they are like new). But i still want to have the opportunity to sometimes practice my mixing and traning my ears on beatmatch, but i dont use it to much, and it is gettin a lot of space in my room, and since i m planning to move a lot (i m spendng sometime in the u.s, maybe i will spend more time in canada an then go back to brazil) it will be difficult to carry all this stuff around.

So what i m think is, selling all my stuff, the two cdjs, and the behringer crappy mixer, and with much less money buy this ``m-audio x-session``

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/475875-REG/M_Audio_9900_51904_10_X_Session_Pro_MIDI_USB_Controller.html#includes

The damn thing look likea mixer, and comes with torq le, as i saw it has knobs for eqin, play/cue volume crossfader. I think is sufficient for to me to play around in my room sometimes and pratice my mixin and my ears on beatmach (i know the torq has a bpm match, or bmp counter, whatever, i will have to work on that)

I just want some opnions before sellin my stuff, I really like my 200`s, but they are not been very useful for me these times. The thing is, i know basics of mixing, but i still want to have the opportunity to continue learning and praticing....

Do you think this m-audio thing will do his job?
Does someone here own it?
Pros and cons?

thanks in advance           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

I know behringer dont have good reputation, but does anyone here have good or bad experiences with the BDC3000? works fine with traktor etc?

bah look like will never give me the same experience as using a pair of cdj`s...but it`s so difficult to move it around, i wish someone create mini cdj`s

a found more possible ``solutions``

VESTAX:

Numark Total Control
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/506091-REG/Numark_TOTAL_CONTROL_Total_Control_DJ.html

looks like much more cool than the behringer, but more expensive..

give me your toughts guys! I need points of view? What do you think about computer-based Djing?

I really can't help you in this that you want... But i can tell you that if you want good quality, you need a good mixer, the players are not very important...

I even just talk with a friend about this... For making a real maddnes and top things, you need:

Traktor (4 players in it )
A good mixer (allen & heath - the best, imo)
A midi

i will give a look on the allen`s but they`re quite expensive =P

I think VCI-100 is very good I own BCD3000 which I used to use before I bought decks and it is not bad for what it is, especially if you have an external soundcard as it's internal one is not the shiniest coin in the purse

VCI-100 has no soundcard by the way

the vci-300 looks the best option, and expensive too.

But sorry my ignorance, on traktor do I have the option to work everything by myself like in the cdjs, beatmatchin, pitch, or it does everythin automaticaly and you dont have option? I really dont know about computer based DJ, just have experience with the 200`s, never touch any other deck tought.
