To be honest, I really don't want to. It would be nice to do what I love to all the time, but I feel that it wouldn't be as fun for me if I had to rely on making music to support myself. I like keeping my music as a hobby that occasionally can fulfill my travel itch...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

hummm
i guess that depends on the artists
if you get booked every weekend in different countries and get a lot of money from it, then i guess its a bit difficult to conciliate it with any other work...
if not, then we have the artist who conciliate it with seeling drugs and then they can live only with it...
if not, then they must get a job

peace

man, i guess you can´t put the question that way, cause makin music, being a professional musician, requires a lot of work indeed, so this should be put as getting paid for some work you love doing, what the problem of getting paid for work?? everyone who works wants to get paid, money doesn´t fall from the stars hehe

I totaly agree with you!!! Music making is a hard job and should be payed enough so artists can concentrate to music making and not how to sell drougs!

Maybe this is the answer to question why professional artists (like Son kite or Astrix) make more better music ... cause it`s their job!

keep em` comming

Hello,
of course, when you work all the day into your music, you grow fast & better, but is not the Rule.
Musical feeling is the center of all.
The rest is only time for learn compositions techniques & all you need for your artisticals desires..

For my taste, i prefer work hard in music, stay poor & happy. For shure is a very hard work , more hard in psy trance.

I have, for 5 years, study in a Jazz school, for learn all is possible in modern music, begining to play into rock'n'roll bands @ 1986 & move in all the musicals styles.
From 1994 i begining to work on psychedelics bands & experiment about trance feelings into music, from acoustic drumming from africa to techno world.

I'm playing a lot, dub, songwriting, jazz, wild noises, PSY TRANCE & techno stuffs, ambient (of course), salsa, gnawa music, hip hop & africans vibes &......ect.....

I choose this life, is the only one for me.

Cool, this is only my poor experience

peace!!           http://mastermargherita.com

2 margherita

"i prefer work hard in music, stay poor & happy"

exactly what I think... stayin` poor but alive and with so so full stomack

I`m also involved in creation of different music styles but it`s really hard to find time for everything so actually if you wanna` make something from your heart and as good as possible I believe you should have enough profit from it ... so you could live!

2 praecox

"trance is trance - life is life! " but what a fuck also trance should be life and life should be trance!!! and I`m sure it is (...for some people)!

2 P.mac

Mp3 is one great disaster in music industry but looks like we can`t avoid it ... I hate mp3 actually but at the same time music comming from my earphones has variable bitrate

Chears to all of you and thanx for replys

bye.
