Hey Boris. a nice phrase, you're the man!
"most trancers are hard core hippies, while house clubbers are mostly sucsessfull yuppies."
This is mostly so, but anyway trance and house and techno and loads of of other stuff coexist, intertwine, merge... of course there are pure representatives of each direction, but who cares? Be open! Enjoy VARIOUS things.

I don't really like house music... actually I can't stand listeninig to it... but, I see many influences from house in today's trance...           "Going to the grave without ever having a psychedelic experience is like going to the grave without ever having sex" (T. McKenna)

Maybe these influences will help you open your eyes to something new? Things could be very differrent from another point of view, remember it ;)

I used to be a house freak and now I just CAN'T listen to house.
It's not that I hate it, it just disgusts my ears.
My ears are sensitive to house.
I listen to plenty of genres, but I can't stand house/dance/nitzhonot.
I don't, just don't like it, and I was in the scene, it's not like I don't even know what it sounds like, because I certainly do.

cheers.

trance is the best music..
aslong as it doesn't have any clubby melody or clubby groove

whats wrong with club trance anyway ?
Personally i cant think of my self listening to psy trance all times of the day.So sometimes when i go out with friends i enjoy some more clubby tunes that will make me dance.Offcourse i prefer psy trance but i cant find anything wrong with club trance or melodic trance or those tunes that Tiesto,Armin Van Buuren and their likes play at parties. Its like changing a little bit the style into something more danceable and more easy to listen to.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

I think all music is good.
Trance and house can mix. and does exist. Nukem and Chab, House artists, did a remix to SONKITE`s track.
There are many influences to trance and other genres of music.
I have friends that hate trance that listen to house but at the same time I listen to house and i like it.
its a matter of taste.

trance is psychedelic music and much more deepr then the house music which is like a pop . not everyone can listen and enjoy trance but hous is amusic 4 everybody.
frome my p.o.v trance lovers canot listen to house because it is like driving on b.m.w and then Subaru.

chaos...
it seems to me from other comments in this thread that not everybody can listen to and enjoy house so i don't see how you can claim it is music for everyone.
also what do you mean by deeper... does it tell more of a story or what? a lot of psy stuff is just party tunes as well, i think we would do ourselves a favour if we did not become too precious about our music..

on the other hand i do understand what you mean to a certain extent and i like the car analogy when i go to a bad party and the music i'm listening to at home just before is so much better...           >>love will tear us apart...<<

well, REAL house and trance r differ in many ways but r like the same in many ways. it all depends on what point of view u have.
if u talk about stuff they play in TLV its mainly prog-house and that music is some where in the middle.
i dont see too much diffrence from progressive house to progressive trance.
REAL house like larry heard, theo parrish, derrick carter will not (AFAIK) apeal to hard trancey people since its very down on BPM quite minimalistic and full of vocals.
and build on very black (disco and such) beats.

but in the bottom line i think u should listen to the music names like trance, techno, house r just names, the music is what counts.
