There WILL be another boom in 2006, maybe just not more goodmood parties other than boom

About the diversity and ordering in line up, I don't agree with u karnaf, i worked in the dancefloor bar 12hrs a day and spent pther 3-4 dancing, so I guess I can say I listened to most of the music playing, and for me it was very diverse and put in a nice order, alway starting more chilled going more power and ending more chilled again every day it was a bit like this, wich makes quite some sence to me

Anyway, everyone has diferent taste I went to boom expecting not very good music and for me it proved to be quite good

well , an amazing festival for sure!!!!! just now after a 2-3 days i have the guts and ability to wrtie about that cosmic week

great music from shift , rinkadink , menog , pena , regan ,hydrophonic and i can`t remember the other music i liked... atmos gave a nice closure to the event. i slept most of all nights so i missed the really hard psy ones by zirkin and azax but i`ve heard they were killers

people were wanderful from all over the world , the view of the lake with the tent village which became over there was great...

the atmosphere was wanderful and good vibes were all around.

if someone goes to a festival like this and come back unhappy ,he / she really needs to check out himself and his surroundings cuz u got to love what was going on over there , (sure there were sound problems and dj`s like chicago gave a set of a hard rock band! WTF??? fucking guitars playing with some bits for 2.5 hours...) but u got there trance from prog to deep to full on to psy dark psy hard psy and some tribal house which slicked in... i liked especially the prog , psy and some of the south african full on...

food was expensive , toilets were a disaster from the 4th day... but thats part of the thing... you can`t expect evrything to be just like you imagined , flexability is the solution

about the robbers , i didn`t get robbed and i left my passport , camera , galssess and some other stuff in my tent. i think it`s so disgusting to do such a thing but there will always be these really lowlife shites who will do that...

anyway i had a really really FUCKING AMAZING WEEK

chau and a good year to all these thousends of good people...

Wow wow wow wow wow

Really all I can say. From the nature and the people, to the weather and the energy that came from all parts of this amazing psychedelic village.

I met and danced and talked to so many like minded people.....I feel renewed and refreshed and redirected not to do what I am doing right now, which is sitting at a desk in front of a computer...

Met a lovely girl as well - Ana, if you read this - your mobile number is wrong!!

As for the sound, I was tearing my hair out on the first morning, but after they shifted the majority of the bass bins to one side of the dome, the problem seemed to have sorted itself out and I thought it was spot on from that time on...

I did not visit the chill out, we were camped pn the other side of the hill and usually after walking over there to chill out in the afternoon, we stayed and enjoyed our private lake!!

As for all the complaints.....it is a shame that you find things to complain about....this was more of a "festival" than any others I have been to - Full Moon last year and Samothraki, were simply dance parties and the production and heartfelt effort that went into creating this psychedilic utopia at Boom 2004 will always be remembered by me and all my friends who feel the same way!!

Big love

well said steve..this boom beat all my previous international festival experiences ( i go yearly) and makes them look like 2-3 day parties. these last 5 days were more like a convention. . . like a meeting of a seriously growing and a stubborn psy sub-culture with all that comes with it...music, fashion, nature, and so on...
i forgot to mention that rinkadink's live was spectacular, and who ever listened to this live, could hear the superb quality of that soundsystem. CRYSTALLIC. his production is amazing.
still, i agree with people that we need to lobby boom crew for a soundwall next time!

ps. about BOOM 2006: if you would have been on the dancefloor on monday at nidnight, as nirmal finished his set, and we all cried for an hour, you would have heard it loud and clear from Masteralien, SEE YOU IN BOOM 2006, as announced on the mic.
and so see you there.

ps2: i wish this forum was less about rumours and more about facts..."i hard rumours that this was the last boom", i hear rumours that there will be cops everywehre at the boom, i heard this, i heard that....
what you know for a fact, is the only thing that matters, in a public space like this...
peace out.          BOOM 2006 www.boomfestival.org

sorry for writing again to wrong section but;

i can't believe there are so many negative feelings about the fest

-yep,sound system was a bit different but i can't say 'crap' like neutron and some others
-food wasn't crap, expensive but not crap(maybe you didn't try enough neutron, there was thousands of places for food)
-and yeah maybe you should not come for the 2006 neutron,we don't need that negative energy around village!you just complain and complain man

and traveller you say that ''like 99% of people there were in for the drugs and not the music.''
then you say ''the babes were good though ''
were you there for babes?

can't understand why people complain so much
it was a superb festival with a little problems
i'll be there for sure for the next one!!!

i totally agree with you lucid picnic!
can't believe that there are so many things that people have to argue about!

i ask myself: "so, are these the people that we have exchanged massive amounts of positive energy with, on the dance floor?" i guess not! The great ball of energy must have been coming from all those lovely, positive, smiling people! not the ones that have so many hard feelings about the food and the lake and the prices and the sound system and this and that...

Thank you Jigga, essbee and amazon!!

I has beginning to get really disturbed by all the negative comments. I was beginning to wonder if I really did see all those smilling faces and felt an intense feeling of hapinness and a great vibe on the dancefloor, or if it was all my imagination. Thanks for reminding me that it wasn't all in my head!

If you want to talk about the toilets, ask our fellow trancers where they shit at home! The toilets were fine if you could find one where somebody had decided not to place their bumhole halfway up their back and crap on the wall.

Don't look to the organisers, look to your fellow festival goers.......

Lose the bad vibes people, I am still buzzing and grinning.....

and PS - when I had a gorgeous girl offering me MDMA on the dancefloor.....hmmmm

I would have loved to see Travellers face then.....what would he have done??????

what a festival:))
i was really pleased with pretty much everything! the village was amazing! the main stage, the ambient boom.. .... just can't find the words to describe the whole scene!
i really liked the opening, with the star sound orchestra. very effective impressive sounds and also a visual show with the percussions and all that!
i must say that i really enjoyed Rinkadink's act! he really knows how to fully communicate with the people! and totally rocked the dance floor! it was definitely one of the most favorite and also most emotional moments of my week!
Menog was very impressive! i'm really upset that i have missed rastaliens dark psy and also tristan.. i always seem to miss some goods acts usually:((
space tribe was very good! it is always very easy to feel the wonderful energy during Space tribe! great job!:)
during chigo..( although, his type of music is not exactly my cup of tea).. i really had a great time! he totally took control of everyone at the dance floor! wow!
i was around the stage during atmos, but because i was preetty busy with trying to make arrangements about the busses and all that, couldn't really put myself into the music! shame..
annnnd..the chill out acts..
woww!! what can i say! amazing!!
bluetech's act was very wonderful! could't help to stand up and and dance.. carbon based life forms and also solar fields..great great definitely very impressive! i missed abakus though..one of the acts that i really wanted to see..however i fell asleep..it was a shame that
they haven't printed the timetables for the Ambient Boom: it was hard to try to assume and calculate the hours for those artists!:( anyway i guess we managed to do a good job about the assumptions!

once again everything was great! had one of the best times of my life! really looking forward to be there again in 2006! (there are some rumors that Boom 2006 wiil be held in Brasil? ) so, is there any reality to that saying??

thanx for the great organisation and
greetings to all ,that took part to arrange such a nice festival!

peace!

i can't help to get all confused about getting to hear such negative comments..
anyway..that was no imagination! it was all real and thousands of people were feeling and moving as one!

Sound: Worst ever! They had a system which surrounded the dance floor from all directions, causing a rebounding sound from the mountains that collided with the system’s sound. Moreover, it seemed like the sound system wasn’t balanced properly and so there were very few spots that you could hear the music in a decent quality.

Music: My bad. I came to Boom wanting to hear some good music. I didn’t get that and probably shouldn’t had my hopes set too high. Almost all sets were boring, unprofessional and repetitive. Several good surprises (like D-tector and Tati), several good sets that were expected (James Monroe, Emok). Worst set award goes to Chicago.

My conclusion: I came to the wrong festival.

C'mon people...
You always have to complain about something. The sound system was BAD so was the music in general. Please don't forget the ticket was only 100€...
