"best party of my life! best organised festival ever...given the presence of approx 25000 people, there was 0 violence"

well not quite 0 violence i'm sorry to say.

On Sunday morning around maybe 10.00 - 11.00 in the chai shop on the hill behind the bar opposite Ibiza chai shop some guy punch his girlfriend in the face. After much screaming with a fair amount of blood on her face she ran full speed off down the hill toward the lake.

Great festival for sure but for me the biggest disapointment was the music.

If you don't like progessive, minimal, breakbeat, guitar, old techno & old acidtechno there was not that much to please.

Was so looking forward to the live sets from Azax Syndrome, Menog & Shift but each one was a bit disappointing.

cheers

well.... in one word: A M A Z I N G !!!! ***

I think it was one of the best weeks of my entire life!!

For me, it was utopia turned into reallity, watching all those happy and smilly faces walking around that magnificent scennario, one psychadelic comunity living in peace, love, unity, respect!! What could i ask more?!?

Sometimes music isn't everything, and i think that the sound system problems or even the line up were irrelevant issues for what was happening there!! It was the most peaceful festival i went to, you could feel the positive vibrations in the air!! honestly...no words could describe what i felt in that 5 days!!

As for the music, my favourite sound warriors were Azax Syndrom (great performance, that woman's voice still rumbling in my head), Dark Psy (suprised me a lot), Rastaliens (amazing as always), Menog / Pena (portugual at his BEST ), James Monro (this guy bonce the hole planet), and finnaly, every words are few to describe this man....RINKADINK wwooowwww....perfect, one of the best lives i saw, made me jump like a crazy animal!! This man deserves a statue in one of those beautifull hills !!! I had to leave at 11pm sunday, so i missed Atmos , i really wanted to see him!!

The only thing i disliked were the 6 hours i waited in line to get in, i was so excited to enter that that 6 hours were hell for me!!!

Congratulations Good Mood for giving me one of the best weeks ever, and i think this festival will be in everyone's memory for a long long time!!!

a word of thank you for those thousands of ppl who travelled thousands of km just to make this happend!!

*WE ALL MADE THIS HAPPEND*

ps. about BOOM 2006: if you would have been on the dancefloor on monday at nidnight, as nirmal finished his set, and we all cried for an hour, you would have heard it loud and clear from Masteralien, SEE YOU IN BOOM 2006, as announced on the mic.
and so see you there.

ps2: i wish this forum was less about rumours and more about facts..."i hard rumours that this was the last boom", i hear rumours that there will be cops everywehre at the boom, i heard this, i heard that....
what you know for a fact, is the only thing that matters, in a public space like this...
peace out.

this boom was the my best party ever.
No violence, good vibes all conditions, and im very happy for being there. Congratulations and thanks boom crew.
What a P.A... I just wanted one of those for me.. Beautifull clean sound. I think this is the right one.. and i goagil2004 it was very good as well because i prefer to listen a clean psychedelik set rather then a "catatonic" gain party.. i think that if you want prefection in the sound quality you better keep one of these.. By the way anyone knows what was this PA?
And other thing, who was the rasta freak that did the last dj set? Really powerfull set 8)
Awsom Charras at boom as always.. Thanks israeli people..
Im really looking forward for next one..
Thanks for all the travellers that came to the boom and hepled to get the vibe that we re always looking for
Thanks BOOM
BOOM

p.s- ONE LAST THING..
next time try not to forgget the promotion of the chill out..
I MISSED CHILED CEQUENZE AND ABAKUS BECAUSE THE ORG FORGOT TO PUT THE SHEDULE LINE UP...
BUT I FORGIVE YOU... BECAUSE bOOM IS BOOM

I had a great time - a lot of the mainstage music wasnt really to my taste - but the over all feel, location & crowd of the festival more than made up for it

BTW - was it really so difficult to find the chillout? I spent much of the festival there and the daily schedule that was distributed all over the festival has the listings and the chillout had a clear timetable up there!!

Yes john, ive been ther as well and ive enjoyed the chill, but it was not a problem of finding the chill or the names that came every day in the daily dragon.
in the first and third day they fogot to put the hours of who was playing. Look this example.. In the firts day chilled sequence played at 14pm. the news paper only came out with this info at 15pm. so when i knew what time they were playing they ad already played.. and in the day of abakus they dindt put any time at all.. Im just saying this because it was 2 bands that i reaaly like and loved to have the opurtuniti to see them..
But im with you jhon.. everything was more than up for me

i thought boom was soo much fun. lots of good friends, beautiful weather, great lake, good organization (kept the trash to a minimum and recycling, gave ashtrays...) could have serviced the toilets more toward the end, it was like hell on earth in there...
for me, i was´disappointed with most of the music (umbrella trance!). Even some acts i came to see seemed to have changed their style a bit...
best set was by far Jahbo (mwah ha ha, tore my head off)followed by Azax and a surprisingly good set from Paulo Lopes. crazy lions cult was fun as always, thanks guys
unfortunately the sound system was soooooo bad!! really irrating to listen to, even painful on the first nite.
overall though it was a great experience and i would for sure go again... even waiting in line for 8 hours to go in was kinda fun!
peace
megan

ps anyone know if i can listen anywhere to the sets from jahbo and azax??

if someone goes to a festival like this and come back unhappy ,he / she really needs to check out himself and his surroundings cuz u got to love what was going on over there......but u got there trance from prog to deep to full on to psy dark psy hard psy and some tribal house which slicked in...

Checked myself out, all parts are here
My surroundings were great - great ppl, friends, beautiful location and nature.
Music - you can also say there was rock there (Chicago's set), TV series themes (Dinasty rmx), Disco (void's track) and more, but I wouldn't call that diversity

so, I had a nice time with the ppl and the place, but I didn't return home too happy and didn't love what was going on there too much.

Karnaf - you must be referring to the lack of Israeli trance played there - a lot of diversity IMO as almost all parties I go to are drilled with the same basslines, the same leads and lack of imagination which the Israeli trance scene has embarked on in the last 12 months or so....nice to hear something different for me.

You also contradict yourself totally by complementing the nature, the people, freinds etc.. and then commenting that you did not love what was going on there.....a real shame that you feel the need to post these negative comments and not just live with happy memories which you so obviously have as well...

respect

I sometime feel like no one understand me here

I did have fun at Boom, but was also highly disappointed by the music and sound system which are the main things I look for in a trance festival.

What I post here is my opinion and my feelings, not trying to insult or offend anyone, but just speaking my mind and sharing my experience.

Overall I agree it was great festival & well done to Good Mood - BUT... I think its fair enough to complain about the poorly set up PA - this is not personal taste (like maybe a DJ or act) but something that SHOULD have been set up correctly...

A guy who was camped beside me does club/event production back in the UK and knows the PA manufacturers. He thinks they will not be very impressed that their brand new state of the art rig was badly set up - it does not look good for them...

But apart from the sound (!) - I agree that it was an amazing week..
