-----
From the four-to-the-floor rhythms of minimal, deep house or techno, to the hypnotic atmospheres of dubstep; from the modern approaches to hybrid dance music, to IDM, dub, dancehall, reggae, electro and glitch – Groovy Beach is a playfully inventive music zone.
-----

this is excellent news for me. alternative music zone for technoheadz and them who feel irie..

paul ritch,extrawelt,marc antona already confirmed.

me too!! i'll definitely be spending a lot more time at the groovy beach than the dancefloor! and i'm really happy to see extrawelt bc i've never been able to see them everytime they came here

i wish they'd bring dusty kid, he played here in portugal last wednesday but it was too far for me

ha ha real electro music festivals are "i love techno", "time warp", "sonar", "exit", "nature one"..etc..etc.....

...don`t see how this tech floor is something special or new when bunch of trance festivals have alternative techno floor for years now

i dont know any psy orianted festival with alternative techno floor. maybe small ones with underground line ups.
this is the first time i see a proper introduction about the alternative floor.seems like it wont be just a fucked up sound system and avarage dj sets.

I for one am not looking for a "real" electro festival. Imo you cant compare the energy/vibe of those you listed to Boom. Boom is a full circle experience combining all sorta different art and artists. To see that a dubreggaetech stage has been added to the already diverse music of Boom is of course good news. It may not be new, but its like a strawberry on top of di dessert ya know

buaaaaaaa.boom made alternative stages since its very beginning where major acts performed (up,bustle and out, manasseh sound system, jazzanova.etc etc...)
the only reason because it will be special its because minimal is fashion now and the same guys who never arrived to understand that boom had more areas than the trance one,now are fully excited to see a bunch of artists that(the truth should be said)are around for many years being ignored by the so open minded trance culture...... see you on groovy bitches........................last boom the ibiza area sucked...because it was mainly a place for posing and invariably it seemed alkantara mar or other portuguese discotheque........i love techno and house but i dont go to boom to be a minimal victim........
its interesting to see how people now are so clever about techno and minimal and stuff, but they crap always the same names.....paul ritch, marc antona, pan pot,barem....................wtf?

i used to play idm, techno, house, ambient, dub, plunderphonics, microhouse, minimal since i started to play...........that was my mission on the ambient rooms....to spread diversity, yet with a groovy soft continuum....................why i dont play there?because i am not popular...what a shame, should i go live to lisbon?get contacts?
