i just read the rest of the reviews, i only saw comments about the music
i recommend next time you spend some time in the liminal village and in the art galleries!!! there were things to learn that you could use for your entire life, not only be high and listen to music and then bitch about the music you didnt like 
and you talk about psychedelic as a culture??? where the fuck is your desire to learn and trip with all kinds of things?
fuck man, boom was a revolutionary event in all kind of ways, how can someone talk about greed for example???
you had a temple where you could listen to freaks talk about the evolution of our minds, a chill out to rest, and sacred fire to trip organically, a dancefloor with all kinds of music, an art gallery, markets, workshops, talks, etc, etc
what the fuck did you do? go to the dancefloor and then run to hide in the tent? why is there so much bitching about the music for fucks sake!!! everyone knows that boom is something else, why dont we make that feeling conscious so we can understand the idea of this festival?
psychedelic trance is about chaning our life, boom is the only festival and party i saw where each moment was designed to construct an alternative. if you missed that, then i really dont know what you were doing there, there were so much opportunities to learn and to celebrate this culture.
i dont have much experience in festivals, but i have never seen or read about a festival like boom, its the only one with full consciousness about the power of psytrance to change our lives!!!.
if i had any doubt about this culture and its possibilites, boom erased them all. for me it was an honor to be there.

I think 2012 has to do with the Mayan Calendary but not sure what it's really all about (heard some talk of being the last Boom),hope not. |

CONGRATULATION,
you realized that the boom-festival have to do with psytrance.
by reading in this forum it seems that
a lot of people didn't know about this.
they came to the boom festival and hardly had to realize that this festival is definetly
not an outdoor progressive-house party
for 7 days to groove around.
it's a psycedelic experience in the whole way.
if you are not open for this
this festival would be too much.
and i think the negative threads in this forum are the result of this.
it's absurd !
it seems that some people try to exclude psytrance out of festivals.
however ...
enjoy to remember !!
